would have been much better if to the very least, germany could have obtained an smg squad. because quite frankly, soviets over berlins are very oversaturated in terms of smgs.
and one to add at the list, it’s not really beneficial.
what a shame, could have worked as a normal smg as well instead of being limited to a squad.
but this is my personal opinion.
Remember that this SMG squad is limited to 4 members, like a premium squad, and does not get premium bonuses. It’s more of a sidegrade than an upgrade.
Though I do agree that a new squad for the Germans would attract more players.
That being said, the recent changes to the Berlin campaign have generally been well-received, but we need some time to see the full extent of the consequences of these changes.
NGL a MKb 42 (H) reward squad would’ve been pretty sick
Instead we get a light bomber/reconnaisance aircraft with the same loadout as a He 51 that occupies the bomber slot.
The Soviets really didn’t need yet another SMG right now even if it is Kalashnikov’s.
I didn’t know the SMG squad does not get premium bonuses.
The 4 men limit doesn’t affect me, since I play Lone Fighter 
But yes, it sure has an effect on most people.

Normal Assualters squad can have max 4 Assualters , rest are just trash and more offten die allong the way.
Its smgs that count and number is the same ! so i would argue that those squads are allmoust the same in number of deployed smgs as in both cases i can use smgs 4x times and that is what really counts !!
P.S. Sidenote … having full squads in invasion maps aint so much good when you have limited number of points , having 7,8 bots just means more points are wasted and more cannon fodder for enemy ! as bots are dumb as hell and die easy even when u tell x stay behind! … That said i tend to have my squads around 4-6 members !

I just wish the devs would be forced to play berlin campaign on the german side for the next like 5 days.
Just to see if they would still think that was a good idea to give every dedicated and therefore a lot of the good players an incentive to play berlin on the sovjet side.
Because germany was just too good with their VG1-5s, heavy ass LMGs or weak SMGs.
VG1-5 was also nerfed right before the PPK42 squads dropped.
What did they change?
Damage was nerfed.
Like the FG42 allied mains cried and it instantly got nerfed into the ground. sad.
I’m not surprised about repeatable nerfs of german mains. I think more casual players are playing Allies so their stats are worse that’s why nerfs coming again and again.
And ofc forum cryings do some things.
