The silenced PPSh will return at some point (which was clearly hinted by Major). The reason it wasn’t added to the game back then is because people didn’t want a silenced weapon in the tech tree, and only for one specific faction.
Not because it is supposedly fake according to Veekay.
So this whole discussion is totally pointless.

Scotti Naval has been the talk for the past 2 months already, ofcourse more people have an opinion on that by now.

ah I see so with that logic we can have lots of German prototype equipment and even world war 1 equipment so I’ll remember that for the future and if anyone says no to this then that’s just double standards.

Yet another fallacy.
Posts in support of buffing SNR immediately got ±6 likes, in few hours they already had 10+. Before I even managed to reply to them.
So it’s obvious the effort to buff the weapon was much higher.
Yes, my arguments were based on what should always be preferred. And that is the gameplay aspect, i.e. the playability and originality of the newly added content. It’s simply not fun to play the same thing over and over again, in just reskinned version.
The sources around SNR are so vague that there is huge potential for developers to create very unique weapon primarily for gameplay purposes.
From currently available sources, it’s simply impossible to recreate 1:1 SNR how it really was.
And I would simply prefer something unique opposed to just axis federov (which btw doesn’t have HA characteristics as well)

Well the problem with scotti is that they picked the most paper type version of the weapon that has same documentation as PPSH with silencer I really wanna see how this version of Scotti really existed since there is even less evidence then that silencer PPsh not even a picture of this version of the Scotti even exists…
Same was with Type 99 LMG when they gutted it for ‘‘historic accuracy’’ I’m waiting for a STG with 500 rate of fire…

You have to make a bit of distinction here.
There are indeed Russian “researchers” who just parrot Soviet propaganda about “whole of Europe working together with A.H. to take down the peaceful bastion of equality and happiness that was the USSR” – they live comfortabe lives, get published and receive medals from the government.
On the other hand, Perestroika and the short period of opened archives in the 90s (before they got closed again indefinitely) produced independent researchers who try to stick to facts and true events, however in the past few years most if not all of them have been coincidentally labeled “foreign agent” by the Russian DoJ.
Both camps seem to have BS and truth to them, but since those events happened some 80 years ago, we can only pick and choose whose arguments appeal more to us individually.

Please dont put topic in a political key. We talk about guns in a game. Not some rubbish prop stuff.
I believe the early blueprint stuff that would have never worked, such as tiger with 10.5cm, will eventually make it to the game.
But I could always be wrong.
I’m not talking about that junk I’m talking about more interesting stuff and the only thing that will achieve is bringing us into the Cold War.

Besides it looks suspiciously like a mesh up of PPD-40 bramit and Ppsh41.
