We can give Callsigns to our soldiers, so why not give us the ability to Rename our Soldiers (both first and last name), whether you want to rename it off a real person or a Fictitious person.
But you can already do that with the callsign orders
he probably means that it could be changed with default names so those would not work as nicknames that no other players can see
They need to remove the 12 charachter limit… this excludes 75% of german names from irl
And 95% of Russians ? 
I am highly against it. It would ruin the fun of getting rolled funny or interesting name.
You’ll still get rolled names, but you can change them afterwards.
Yes, which would totally devalue the RNG aspect of it. Getting a funny or interesting would no longer feel satisfying. As everyone could just pick it.

I don’t feel we need to do more than edit call signs, but I will say they need to remove that 12 character limit. If we got at least 25 to 30 characters I think that would be fine for names. Same should be done for loadouts, it’s horrible being stuck with so many good loadout names and a hard cap that’s really small for the limit.
