Preface
On April 25, 1945, not far from the German town of Torgau, American and Soviet troops came within close distance of each other. It was on the broken bridge over the Elbe River that soldiers from the two armies shook hands, symbolizing the efforts made by people from different countries and with different beliefs in the anti-fascist struggle and the pursuit of world peace.
I looked back at the rewards from events during the old supply card era. Players were given crew cards, silver coin weapon cards, along with two 300% experience boosters.
There was also one event that rewarded two automatic pistols and one Browning pistol.
However, the last event was extremely perfunctory. We only got two avatars, and there were suspicions of fake AI gameplay.
As this upcoming event draws near, I wonder what half-hearted rewards we will receive this time. Will it just be more avatars? Or reskinned versions of the Browning pistol and TT-33?

I would prefer them to hold slightly different commemorative events. I don’t see the point in repeating the same commemoration every year. There are so many interesting historical events that could be commemorated instead.

Probably the same thing as last event. Two bad portraits, o e American and one soviet. Or a skined pistol like @Emperor_Yoshiro said, a red TT and a Nickel plated M1911A1

Well this useless events where you get a red handle on your knife that you cant even see in game are as useful as receiving a smile on tonight’s radio broadcast. Simply cant wait for the next event xD

Rewards like these should only be negligible extras among generous major prizes, yet they are constantly presented to us as key rewards. It is completely backwards.
The recent rewards have also been extremely stingy. Back in the day, we were generously given the MP41(R), Fedorov and Japanese Thompson. Nowadays, nearly every new squad release only brings pistols over and over again.
It is utterly boring. I remember that when most online games start to decline, they stop offering rare exclusive items and flood players with meaningless reskinned weapons instead.

The last good reward was the Yak-3 French since it came with a squad that I can use on the new slot they given us…there was also SIG KE 50 very nice reward the combat engineers where major disappointment. So my only option now is opening boxes to get an event squad since the new ones have nothing unique about them…

As DF keeps filling loot boxes with low-quality filler weapons such as the plain MP-40, painted PPSh, camouflaged British BR2 submachine guns and more, the chance of obtaining squad units has kept dropping.
I still remember the heartbreaking sigh from my group friend who tried his best yet only pulled the Liberator pistol.
I still own the Japanese airborne squad and Soviet anti-tank squad from past events, only missing the BT-76 now, haha.
Aside from the MP717(R) and Soviet Thompson, my collection is almost comparable to veteran players.
But given DF’s recent poor operations, I have barely any desire to grind for new content at all.

It would be fine if they released decent new items. Compared with those perfunctory events before, they will most likely give us a silver-plated revolver from the US or UK this time, haha.
Victory Day is also approaching soon, and no one knows what will happen next. I would never risk fighting at Soviet BR 4 just for a single BR 4 machine gun anyway.

It would be better not to release any rewards at all. All the items they offer are mediocre and useless.
At BR4, only Germany still holds real combat power for now, thanks to its abundant machine gun squads.
hopefully for the elbe anniversary we’ll get finally the M3a1 for the muricans…

Haha, exactly. The original American M3A1. Logically, they could add an unarmed version to the tech tree, or release it as an event unit or premium vehicle.
Why do American vehicles only show up on the Soviet side?
No one likes that weak pea shooter. In this meta dominated by full-power, high-rate-of-fire weapons, it’s questionable whether it can even hold its own in combat.
