Soon (in less than 2 months) it will be the Armistice Day and I would like to see an event with custom squads themed around First World War on Normandy maps (And this is definitely not related to me playing a lot of BF1)
In terms of time period, it could be the spring of 1918 Kaiserschlacht and the summer-autumn hundred-day offensive of 1918
As for the squads I would like to see:
Entente
#1 Infantry squad
9 soldiers with Ross rifles and 1 engineer (8 soldiers and 1 engineer)
#2 MG squad
5 soldiers, 3 with Lewis guns, 2 engineers with Lee Enfields
#3 Assaulter squad
5 soldiers, 4 assaulters with MP18s or Beretta M1918s and 1 engineer and with 3 grenades
#4 AT squad
5 soldiers, 3 AT gunners with Tankgewehrs (re-skinned Sholokhov AT rifle) and 2 engineers with Lee Enfields
#5 Radio operator squad
2 radio operators 2 engineers (with Ross) and 1 machine gunner with Lewis or Chauchat
#6 Tank squad Mark 5
Crew of 8 soldiers with pistols
#7 Tank squad Saint-Chamond
Crew of 8 soldiers (French)
Machine gunners are best given recoil reduction perks.
Germany
#1 Infantry squad
9 soldiers with Gewehr War time mod and 1 engineer (8 soldiers and 1 engineer)
#2 MG squad
5 soldiers, 3 with MG-08/15(50), 2 engineers with Gewehr 98s
#3 Assaulter squad
5 soldiers, 4 assaulters with MP18s and 2 engineers (with MP-18s) with 3 grenades
#4 AT squad
5 soldiers, 3 soldiers with Tankgewehrs (re-skined Sholokhov AT rifle) and 2 engineers with Gewehr 98 war time
#5 Radio operator squad
2 radio operators, 2 engineers (with Mannlicher M1895s) and 1 machine gunner MG08/15(50)
#6 Tank squad Beutepanzer IV
Crew of 8 soldiers with pistols
#7 Tank squad A7V
Crew of 18 soldiers
Machine gunners are best given recoil reduction perks.
I would like to see a reward system there like in the Soviet-Japanese event
Event Rewards
Maxim SMG (aka Schwarzlose SMG) for Germany and USSR for BR5.
This is a German 9mm machine gun developed in WWI, but the only surviving example is now in Tula, Russia.
How it got there, no one knows
So, due to the fact that it was preserved only in the USSR and Russia, but was made in Germany, I propose giving it to both sides for BR5
Stats:
Caliber: 9×19 mm Parabellum
Rate of fire: 900–1000 rounds per minute (or 600 rounds/min) (there is very little information on it) (Most likely 900-1000)
Weapon length: ~800 mm
Weight: ~5 kg
Magazine size: 8 stacks of 10-round clips contained within an internal magazine on the left side of the gun
MG-08/15 4br (as an analogue for Belt-fed DP) for Germany
German light machine gun based on MG 08
Characteristics
Caliber: 7.92×57 mm Mauser
Rate of fire: 500-600 rounds per minute
Muzzle velocity: up to 885 m/s
Length: 1390 mm
Barrel length: 720 mm
Weight: 19.5 kg (including coolant and bipod)
Magazine size: 100-round belt
Huot Automatic Rifle BR2 machine gun
This is an automatic Ross rifle conversion made in Canada in 1916 by Joseph Alphonse Huot as a light machine gun
Caliber: .303 British (7.7×56 mm)
Rate of fire: 475 rounds per minute
Length: 1194 mm
Barrel length: 635 mm
Weight (without cartridges): 5.9 kg
Magazine size: 25 round drum magazines
Lewis MG for the USA at BR3
Stats are the same as the Soviet Lewis (Magazine size can be increased to 97)
WWI tanks should not be added as rewards, they will be very strange on WW2 maps ESPECIALLY in the Pacific
Maps as I would like to see
How I would like to see the maps play
The attack starts in the trenches
The points are either in the trenches or in destroyed cities
About 50-100 meters between point with cover/craters
You can also put a couple of horses on the map that you can ride
If you have any suggestions, I will add them to the post
