The game needs binoculars

So i just started playing Tunisia for the first time today. Its pretty fun but i feel like the large open fields highlights a thought a friend mentioned to me a while before. Why is there no binoculars in the game? it would be great for spotting stuff, and i hate that i have to use my sniper as a spotter. Wouldn’t it be kinda fun to have it as a tool that you can equip to your guys using the currently worthless backpacks? If you wanted to go really deep with it maybe the AI can spot if they have bino’s, think how cool it’d be to finally have those extra members on your recon team be more useful for sniping. Then again ai spotting may be a bit over powered. Never the less some just regular binoculars would still be a welcomed feature in my eyes. Thoughts?

Why not.
Fun tool, not game breaking in any way…
Could also take up the knife spot… you’d have to wham ppl with butt stock instead (or binoculars themselves?)

I was thinking more medkit slot, then the choice of medkit, or binos, or backpack to have both. Seems like it’d be a good trade off to me.

Put it in the worthless mine slot no one uses. Id get far more use from binos then a mine

But… I really wanted to break binocs on an enemy face, for laughs…

Fair point.

Shovel 2.0?

Why not. For the ones that want that.

But, will be another useless item to have on the overall scale.

Game pace is too fast for that type of tools to be worth even use.

Like the shovel for ex.

I’ll only work. If and when a larger scale map like batlefield ones is implemented. If we will ever see something like that.

Well, there are two huge maps in Moscow, in Normandy.
I think it will be.

I’d have one good use for it.
On my radiomen, when there’s a unusual spot you need to bomb from afar (such as a possible RP) and want to correctly mark it.

Would like to see it in logistics.

If binoculars were available, say, only for a certain class, and were needed, for example, to mark targets for artillery, and to be part of a radio operator’s equipment (or something like that), why not.

Yeah, maybe if you spot something with binocs and mark it, then it gets destroyed, you get a little bonus too.

Even put them in the stand at the practice range so you don’t have to go out to look at how your shots are landing, particularly on the distant ones.
