I have collected the experience of many players on Twitch.
New players who stream, and are starting the game. I think there is a lack of tools in the squads with which one starts the game.
I have also watched my replays of players on my team, because I often complain about bad teams, and I have discovered that they are new players, who have no chance against the players from BR3 OR BR2.
At the beginning we start with a squad of riflemen, snipers and a light tank, these squads are horrible, not very useful, they are only cannon fodder for semi-veteran players, that is, now the BRV players, the majority are playing BR2 to abuse the new ones like They used to do it before merge. My opinion is that an adjustment should be made and that the new ones start with a squad of engineers who are practically the most important in the game. Give those squads some help, something mixed, some stormtroopers, make these squads more versatile, give them a machine gunner. So that the new player feels useful and is useful at the beginning of the game. Many players do not understand how they die so easily, and that overwhelms them because the difficulty of the game at the beginning is horrible. The Rifle squad should have an engineer, a completely ready assault, combat versatility. The Snipers squad should also have an engineer from the start, and not wait to unlock them. My point of view is that if we modify the initial squads, making them more versatile, the gaming experience will be more pleasant for new players and it will bring us more players. You will have a better gaming experience and we will be giving you more resources, making the game more attractive at the beginning.
I played with a new friend a couple of weeks ago and it only took them 1 game to unlock the submachine gun squad, though i agree it’s still not a very new player friendly system atm. They didn’t make it as far as to unlock the engineer squad since they stopped before then. I think starting with an Engineer squad would be better then starting with semi unlocked squads as that might mess up the feel of progression when the “upgraded squads” start with less than your starter squads did.
I think a 2 BR matchmaking spread might fix some of these issues but i don’t think there are currently enough players of each BR to do that. Hopefully when the steam release hits player count increases and they can improve the matchmaking. But if they don’t do anything i’m worried only a small amount of the new players will stick around.
nah. major reason why people play BR2 is cause they want to play with low tiered weapons against other people with low tier weapons and not go against full auto spam in BR5, or they are grinding new faction.
majority of forum users also hold this opinion. engineers should be starting squad instead of snipers.
Yeah but they are inadvertently being “seal clubbers” because they will probably have the best of BR2 with maxed equipment, squads and the knowledge to make quick work of any new players. Though this should become less of an issue with more new players joining. Especially if they are able to implement a 2 BR matchmaking spread since BRs 3 and 4 would become more viable.
“This product has experienced one or more periods of off-topic review activity. (Based on your preferences), the reviews within these periods have been excluded from the product’s Review Score.”
I think that might be too restricted and not viable with a small player base, having something like:
1-2 so BR 1 never faces anything higher than BR 2, and ideally matching players of similar rank together, at least at these low BRs so the more experienced players can still play lower BRs without being grouped with the new players.
2-3 so BR 2 can face BR 1 and 3.
3-4 so BR 3 can face BR 2 and 4.
4-5 so BR 4 can face BR 3 and 5.
As one BR doesn’t make that much of a difference and it makes BRs 3 and 4 more viable, which is a middle ground between the mostly bolt actions of BR 2 and the mostly automatic weapons of BR 5. Since atm once you reach BR 3 you are facing maxed players and either have to not use your equipment til you have high BR4 or 5 if you don’t want to Matchmaking to potential screw you.
nah. they just arbitrarily put snipers as starting squad. if anything they are amongst worst possible starting squads. they teach you to camp and have low number of soldiers in squad making them worst for taking caps.
Whenever you see vets just quit the match, simple. Also, a good way to learn this game is to watch the replays. It even helped me sometimes to identify what went wrong, etc.
All I can really tell you at this time. Matchmaking leaves much to be desired.
this aswell as the main Appeal of BR 2 for myself is the maps (moscow and tunisia), and that it provides the most balanced match making outside of making a Full br 5 line up.
its just a good experience all round, Not a thought given to seal clubbing
I would like BR 1 to be -+0 for entry level, not only to level the equipment field for people starting out, but also because it would be fun to play with nothing but the small light tanks and AT rifles again. Dust of the panzer IIs, T-60s, 38Ts, BA-s etc etc. Early war is fun.
It’s an excellent idea to swap snipers for engineers.
Engineers can deal with any combat situation in this game.
"An enemy has a strong BR3 tank and I’m a new player
" Engineer Squadron: My cannon AT will solve it.
“An enemy has a plane that bothers my team”
Engineer Squad:
My anti-aircraft gun solves it.
In addition to that, the engineer cultivates the mentality of playing as a team and building Rally Point, the most important mechanic of the game.
The first time I played Enlisted I left it,
I didn’t understand what was happening, it wasn’t useful in combat, my enemies had Automatic Weapons. I thought the game was full of hackers.
My initial equipment did not help me win games.
My riflemen were obsolete with bolt-action weapons.
My snipers, well you can’t rush with a sniper. And my Tanks were made of paper.
I learned to be useful in the game with the engineers,
I remember that I made 20 or 30 kills per game, but I won a lot thanks to the rallies.
I had a hard time unlocking the engineers, no one starts this game being premium, if we are exploring a game as new players.
Enlisted is a very nice game, but new players have to be taught the mechanics of the game and sometimes the tutorials are not really good.
