I have been playing Enlisted for 5 years, and while the game has evolved, I believe it’s time to move beyond “perfect balance” and embrace the Historical Soul of WW2. A balanced game is fair, but an immersive game is legendary.
Here is my vision for the next stage of Enlisted:
1. Asymmetric Warfare: The Tiger in Tunisia
Historically, the Tiger I terrified Allied forces in Tunisia. In Enlisted, it’s banned for “balance.” I propose a new approach: Asymmetric Balancing.
Allow one Tiger I player to face 4 or 5 Allied tanks (Churchills/Shermans).
Balance this by giving the Allies extra Air Support points or faster artillery.
This creates a “Boss Battle” experience where players must unite to take down a monster, just like in 1943.
2. Endgame Behemoths & BR 6
We need a reason to keep grinding. It’s time to introduce Battle Rating VI (BR 6) for experimental and super-heavy units:
The Maus & Sturmtiger: Their slow speed and vulnerability to air strikes are their natural balance.
The Horten Ho 229: A German jet prototype to counter late-game Allied air superiority.
These units should feel like a reward for dedicated players.
3. Forgotten Fronts: Poland (1939) & France (1940)
Enlisted needs more variety. Adding the early war campaigns would bring:
Poland: The TKS “Cockroach” tank and the Wz. 35 anti-tank rifle.
France: The legendary Char B1 and the FM 24/29 LMG in the Battle of Sedan.
These campaigns offer a unique atmosphere that is currently missing from the game.
Enlisted should be an Experience, not just a sport. Let us feel the fear, the challenge, and the history! I have attached a concept map/infographic to illustrate these ideas.
What do you think, fellow commanders? Should we prioritize history over balance?
This is a great idea. If they can’t be made into historical campaigns, at least they should appear in event campaigns. And this is a classic suggestion from Enlisted players; at least, Enlisted Tier 6 won’t be the Cold War mode that War Thunder players talk about anymore.
