Dear Developers,
I am writing this to urge a shift in Enlisted’s development philosophy. While “The Merge” aimed for balance, it sacrificed the Historical Immersion that makes this game unique. Here is a comprehensive proposal to bring back the “War Feeling”:
1. The Tiger I in Tunisia (Asymmetric Balancing):
Preventing the Tiger H1 from appearing in Tunisia is historically inaccurate. Instead of banning it, introduce Asymmetric Balance. Allow one Tiger player to face 4 Allied tanks (Churchills/Shermans). To balance this, give the Allies extra Air Support points or faster artillery cooldowns. This creates a “Boss Battle” atmosphere where the Allies must unite to take down a legendary threat.
2. The “Fear Factor” and Heavy Units:
A balanced game is sometimes a boring game. Players should feel the terror of seeing a Sturmtiger (380mm rocket) or a Maus on the horizon. Their extreme slowness and vulnerability to aircraft are their natural balance. These should be added to BR 5 or as special event rewards to give the endgame more “weight.”
3. Filling the Gaps (France and Poland):
Development feels slow because we are repeating the same factions. We need the Polish Campaign (1939) with its TKS “cockroach” tanks and the Battle of France (1940). These units are ready-made for lower BRs and would provide much-needed variety.
4. Prototypes and Air Superiority:
Since we already have jets, we should see iconic prototypes like the Horten Ho 229 to counter late-game Allied air superiority.
Enlisted should be an Experience, not just a balanced sport. Let us feel the history!
