Imo, SF (at least auto ones) should be given to everyone BUT engineers and maybe troopers.
Or just a new role.
Enginners are already powerful as it is, giving them the best rifle isnt the best solution to class balance
Yea i dint dislike an automatic rifleman wo can use SF and Assault rifles, and relegate assaulter only to smg
Yeah, creating some kind of elite troops would be nice.
Like Marines for US, Guard units for SU and Fallschrimjagers for GE. (No wonder germans lost the war with so long unit names.)

As auto rifles are basically light mgs, we can:
— Make all lmgs with 30 bullets or less have running speed debuff, aiming time, bullet spread (especially while moving) and upgrades the same as auto rifles already have. So autorifles can be given to machine gunners as kind of “assault machinegun”, light, precise, but not able to fire for a long time without reload. Then we could use mgunners for two roles. But recoil decreasing will be needed.
— Or give them to assaulters. They are light (many of them have weight close to 5 kg), they are powerful, and they are often used as weapon for run&gun tactics. But that’ll make assaulters even more cancerous.
Or we can keep everything as it’s now, only taking them away from engineers, cuz they are the most common infantry class after assaulters.
The more I play the more I ask myself the question: why do we even have classes? There are no meaningful limitations that produce good gameplay anyway. I don’t see why not just allow everyone to use everything.
If the reason is that they want players to grind and pay, they could make training for advanced gear cost resources. If they want classes for immersion reasons… well, clearly, it can’t be that. Even if that was indeed the reason, there are ways to make a classless system immersive and authentic.
Yeah, we can as well remove them and nlt much will change.

If it = better gameplay, ill take a slightly longer grind ANY day
