The Flammpanzer 3 was a modification of a Panzer 3M, which replaced the primary 50mm cannon, with a 14mm flame projector in the turret and a false barrel meant to disguise the tank’s role from a normal Panzer 3, and only had a crew of 3 members compared to the normal 5 you see in most German tanks, as the loader and gunner became unnecessary with the flamethrower modification as the commander could operate the flamethrower and coaxial machine gun on his own. The flamethrower has a range of around 60 meters when the fuel was ignited, although this might be changed in game. I think this would be fun to have in BR1, it would have quite thick armor and have highly lethal anti infantry power but absolutely no anti tank power like the flammpanzer 2 and HT 130, so I think it would be fine on BR1, and should be implemented as an event vehicle.
Should the Flammpanzer 3 be added as a BR1 event vehicle?
I have said flame tank, and I’m still for this one. That one would be much faster, which is actually a huge advantage for it having those flamethrowers, and has a very wide cone of fire due to shooting two flamethrowers at once, but this one would be slower with it being more survivable.
The flame will rise!
I wonder if the KV-8 would be suitable for BR3 or 4, also a Churchill Crocodile for BRV.
Sd.kfz.251/16 is a great vehicle but it would roast the infantry spawning on it once they exit the vehicle.
Actually no, it would offer a very different playstyle despite being being dedicated flamethrower tanks.
The Pz2 is extremely fast and mobile, While the Pz3 would offer a far more armoured option.
Not to mention its far from unusual to have a prem and event vehicle of a gimmick vehicle, the drop tank equipped planes for Japan and the US come to mind.
I think it would have to be BR4, just because of how cancerous the already largely impervious tank being made into a flamethrower might be a bit much, especially considering that it has both the 76 and the flamethrower.
