Cool. I’m gonna get that Kilroy sticker. Albeit right now I’m more looking forward to the next WW2 themed event like the one we had with Tunisia just recently. I’m usually a complainer about a lot of things, but I have to say that event wasn’t that bad, all things considered. (Lewis should’ve been TT or give us more than one, for example) It could’ve been done better, of course. But it was a step in the the right direction and it was certainly an upgrade from the Market Garden one. Many players, myself included, were waiting for something that felt more close the old Enlisted campaigns, now improved with the new additions we have in game since then. (But next time you put Italians, give them their Carcano rifle, because: Aesthetics) Now I’m hoping for a Stalingrad, Berlin, or maybe Moscow event for winter Surprise me.

For completing 5 and 7 out of the 9 tasks, you will receive unique decal for American ground vehicles, and for 8 completed tasks, a unique camouflage for the M4A1 (76) W.

Not bad, but the main reward being an tank skin for one of the least used Shermans kinda sucks. It would’ve been better if we got an unique Sherman variant instead, maybe even a event U.S.A tanker squad with a unique Sherman.

Tasks

Phase 1 (October 23rd - October 25th):

• Kill 30 enemies as an AT Gunner.
• Kill 30 enemies using a vehicle.
• Complete 4 battles.

Phase 2 (October 25th - October 27th):

• Destroy 4 vehicles.
• Kill 50 enemies using a vehicle.
• Complete 4 battles.

Phase 3 (October 27th - October 29th):

• Kill 10 enemies using a special weapon (mortars, anti-tank rifles, flamethrowers, projectile launchers).
• Build rally points and deploy APCs that will be used 30 times.
• Complete 4 battles.

Tasks are alright I guess.

Personally i dont like these new “skins”.

Not being able to change the camo pattern underneath the extra track armor kinda ruins it.

You need to split functional from cosmetic

Can this skin be used on old bp vehicles? I would like to combine sherman “in the mood” with this skin if it is possible

You know what else was at el Alamein?? Churchills - Churchill III’s which we already have, but there were apparently also a couple of Churchill II’s - which were essentially I’s with the hull 3" howitzer replaced by a MG.

So a Churchill 1 might have been a really interesting reward - the model is in WT, and it is pretty rubbish - 2 pdr in turret, 3" howitzer in hull (which has only smoke and HE) - thicker armour than Lee/Grant, but slower and the HE chucker 3" has much worse traverse so BR 2.

Or perhaps the Churchill NA75 - “NA” standing for “North Africa” - highly appropriate…with Sherman 75mm gun in turret at BR 3…

Hot take maybe here, but Im very happy with this event, easy tasks, easy rewards, I wont be using hte skin, but thats just because BR4 is a fucking disaster.

Also if it was an event for the first combat of the sherman, its a bit odd that its the M4A1 (76) variant and not the M4A1 (75) we have in game.

Apart from that, very happy, kilroy decals really made my day.

Fair enough, of course.

If anything, I’m quite happy that they’ve reverted to reward sizes and task dificulties of the past, no more 120 headshots or whatever.

I just left an idea, if they wanted to… Compensate for a fairly lackluster year. It’s not like having 5k silver as the base ammount if slilver (instead of 2.5k) is any skin of their backs.

I’ve been begging for a B-25 Mitchell for allies with a five man crew and the same payload as the Ju-188 and the Tu-25. I use them over the Jets because once I get shot down I can bail out and have a five man assaulter squad. However, I very rarely play BR5 with Soviets, usually with Germans or Allies.

Naahhh you can choose any weapon. Man a cannon, or a HMG nest, and you get a multikill pretty easily. It’s not that hard to get kills with a rifle anyway

I’d be fine if they kept its mag that small and saved the 25 round one for maybe another Italian event but it’s BR needs to be dropped to either III or IV.

I guess this one is fine, i have done the 30 kills with ease on a BR III Soviet lineup … you can just kill stuff with the SVT… i bet if you got some BR V its even easier.
