When you play an Italian squad in enlisted, they should change the announcer from German to Italian. There’s no reason for Italian troops to be getting their battle announcements by a German announcer, they most likely wouldn’t understand him!

The Italian announcer exist inside the main folder. Just navigate to Enlisted/sound/_cmn_loc_vo_it.assets.bank. You can use it to replace the German announcer but you have to do it manually tho.

So they have it, all they have to do is implement it. It’s not that hard!

The caveat is that Italy is currently not a standalone faction, like the UK. So they both use their parent faction announcer (US and Germany). Unless DF implement standalone faction or figure out how to implement subfaction’s own announcer, you have to replace their respective parent announcers.

Just make it linked to the nation of the squad that you’re playing.
They seem to have a french one to…
And chinese

But does it really work? Can I hear the narrator’s voice in Italian? Or will it be detected as a cheater? How should I proceed in detail? Thanks
You can use it as some sort of mod. Just create a “mod” folder inside the sound folder, copy the Italian localization announcer and paste it inside the mod folder. After that, rename it to the German announcer file and congrats, you’ve converted the German faction into Italian faction. You can also change it back while in the main menu but you have to do it manually so just move the renamed Italian announcer to somewhere else.

I’ve never used mods, I don’t want to cause any damage. Is mod written so small? Are the files to copy and put in “mod” the two Italian files in the photo shared by vector? Thanks for the reply, I’ll look at it tonight, I’m not sure where to navigate.
Simple as that:

And no, it doesnt cause any problems, I only suggest creating folders for them as their names wont suggest anything considering they have same file names as default.

Sorry, I don’t understand…where should I start?
Idk, I don’t really see any benefit for this. Like why should I get an italian voice in my head while all my dudes are speaking german and wearing german uniform in the middle of Berlin. Yes I know you suggested for Italian squad, and yet they are still dressed as german in most campaign and can be set to be german.
At best I could see interresting to have the announcer in italian for italian speaking soldiers, but even there I don’t really care. Or maybe just an option in the menu that let you choose the language of the announcer.
I just think that there are more important issue in the game than having this. That’s just my opinion (and I say that as someone with italian origins)
