The fact that i can't take the IS-2 and the ISU-152 in different squads makes the ISU kinda useless

It’s simple: The IS-2 can penetrate the front of the Tiger II (H), the ISU-152 can’t.

The fact that this game allows for countless impenetrable tanks to be spammed with the same 2 vehicle cap as any other tank, combined with the complete absence of coordination in the game, forces me to always choose the single vehicle that can penetrate a diminute region of the turret, instead of the fun assault gun that i just earned.

Giving the ISU-152 another squad would allow both to be used. This, or maybe make the top armor of the hull to be destroyable by a 152mm HE the same way that the Tiger I can be destroyed by the 105 Sherman HE shell.

ISU should have come with an SPG regiment event squad, this is ridiculous and frankly useless on its own

Have only used the 152 in the practice range but had no trouble torching Tiger 2 from the front. The HE is very powerful.

I however do agree with your complaint. All vehicles should be usable by all squads.

152mm HE absolutely can penetrate the roof armor of Tiger 2 H and overpressure it. But you are right about ISU-152 being so restricted in usage by squad misplacement.

Where are you shooting a Tiger II that you can’t overpressure it with the 152mm?

Don’t wanna brag but….

They should let us put what vehicles we want in our squads from now on. would make much more sense as of how the game is nowadays

That also would fix the issue. If only we had a way of acquiring legacy squads.

Squad Vehicle limitations dont make any sense.

All squads should be able to use all vehicles.

After the Allies spammed the impenetrable KVs and Shermans, and endured the cardboard PZ3 and PZ4 with 50mm turrets, Germany and Japan deserved to be a little harder to penetrate. Or are cuirasses and the best AVS-36 rifle not enough for you to win?

I do agree that there’s an issue with tankers, and pilots. Doesn’t matter what faction we’re talking about, there should not be a restriction on equipment per squad. If somebody wants to take a IS2 and an is2 1944 they should be able to with tanker II and tanker III squads. The same logic applies across the board for every vehicle in the game, we shouldn’t have Squad locked equipment. If it’s a tank, any tanker in the entire game should be able to use that tank. Doesn’t matter if it’s a tanker 1 or a tanker 3. Again, same logic to planes. This is just a poorly designed game mechanic that’s been forced onto every faction in the game.

Just caught my typo lol.

That’s exactly right. Putting it at BR5 previously was a downright foolish call. Right now the ISU‑152’s AP rounds still can’t penetrate the King Tiger, Ferdinand or Jagdpanther. Logically, lacking sufficient penetration means it shouldn’t face those vehicles and ought to drop to BR3.

Its HE shells capable of one‑shotting the King Tiger share the same mechanics as the KV‑2, yet the KV sits at BR3. As things stand, it lacks reliable front penetration against the Panther alongside an extremely slow reload. It’s plausible DF originally balanced this tank to feel underpowered and push players into purchasing the KV‑2 (1940).

I’m hoping this vehicle gets moved down to BR3 so I can ditch my KV‑2 1939 entirely.

With more and more tanks being added to the game, it’s reasonable for veteran players to own multiple tank squads, yet new players only get three, which is really frustrating. As no new squads have been introduced, bringing back the old squads has become an urgent matter. Still, moving this vehicle down to BR3 first to ease the situation would benefit both the BR3 and BR5 brackets.
Yet its low profile and lack of a turret make it inferior even to the 1939 variant.

SO waiting for this
