The Ferdinand tank destroyer was a heavily armored tank destroyer based off the hull of Porsche’s rejected Tiger design, of which 100 such pre-production hulls were made before Henshel was declared the winner. As this was happening, designs for heavy tank destroyers were being made, and it was decided to recycle these old hulls which were already made to create it, and thus the Ferdinand was born, with 91 made in total. The Elefant was a modification of the Ferdinand after the battle of Kursk made with experience gained from combat there. The upgrades included the addition of a MG34 mounted in the bow to make it’s anti-infantry capability better, a commander’s cupola, the addition of zimmerit, and some other minor upgrades, but otherwise the exact same as the Ferdinand. Even though the Ferdinand hasn’t come out yet, I think this could be a cool sidegrade to it that’s a little better due to the MG, and obviously be the same BR as the Ferdinand. I think this could be added as an event vehicle, preferably coming with it’s own squad and be a decent event reward.
