Seriously Players don’t know what’s best for the game, and often the ones that are heard represent a tiny fraction of the player base, the vocal minority.
Almost every update seems like one step forward and two back with them F’ing up something.
The game just get’s more and more arcade like.
Change for the sake of change is not a good thing.
I will admit there have been a good many improvements, but at the same time the changes that are bad outweigh those at times.
8/10 crap things in this game came/ comes from the devs without even looking at the forum. Focusing on the 1/10 where they “listen” to the “wrong” feedback is a bit off.
Then what I find strangest is power creep campaign lvls. Those I can live with. I always adapt to the new meta. Always.
Biggest set back to me at the moment, is over time, and insidious: premium squads are more and more p2w. Would be fine if all squads could have some sort of specialist customization options like engineers in all, to make all relevant old and new without the programmed obsolescence feeling (fact).
Wow, I have never heard someone say the devs shouldn’t listen to what their players want from their game. That is probably the dumbest business decision I have ever heard. If you keep doing the opposite of what the players want then why the fuck would they keep playing. Good God think before you talk
I am a player who has invested a lot of money in this game, and I am very dissatisfied that the time for air strikes and artillery support has been extended from two and a half minutes to five minutes.
I think we should go back to the original two minutes.
I hope it will be 1/4 of the original time after the upgrade, not 1/2.
I hope that the people concerned will not change this setting.
It’s still the same setting.
The original setting is fine.
There is no need to modify it.
Regardless of how the community seems, for devs to simply shrug off the playerbase requests in favor of the typical dumb shit they come up with by themselves would completely kill the game. It’s all about trying to retain the playerbase, especially right now since the game is in a rough state already.
The community wanted a nerf to the lmgs and the devs answered with the dispersion increase upon movement, and the community wanted the premium squads nerfed and you saw how well that went
Well. For a start, people didn’t explicitly say that we don’t want any more soldiers but just no 9 assaulters. And that was the main issue there. Just giving us the normal squad tree would have been enough and was proposed IIRC. The same goes for MG. People wanted them to behave like MGs and not like better ARs. But TheCat was too annoying.
How it was:
Community request: nerf LMGs’ CQC performance
Devs’ answer: nerf LMGs’ long range performance
How it was:
Community request: make premium squad composition (avalable clases) the same as in the free squads
Devs’ answer: make premium squads have only 4 soldiers, all of the same class
So basically devs take our suggestions, use Wabbajack, implement them and say they listen to the community.
If the game is becoming more arcade it’s not because of the player base, those are (bad) ideas from the developers. The BA buff, for example, is what it is because the player base wants it and we ask for it, and that’s the opposite of an arcade feature btw.
Also, if you read some suggestions and comments, you’ll know that the community is always asking developers to slow down a bit, enough campaigns, enough non-historical bullshit, enough premium squads.
I’m sorry, but your suggestion is the opposite of what we need.
It’s not the playerbase’s fault, but the devs fault for choosing the wrong ideas.
@ColdHeat 's complaint about censorship of the panther and @CaptainSebekel 's post about the stalingrad mortars gold prove the devs see every post, but ignore alot on purpose.
