Yes.
The current state of the game (or which sides Marshalls tend to play/stacking up):
Normandy - Axis stomps hard against new/console players. Started to see a slight shift the last week tho.
Tunisia and Pacific- Axis stomps hard. Fucked up campaigns as a result of DF trying to balance things by playing around with the ticket bleed instead of fixing the core problem with a MM.
Berlin - Mostly even, but some sort of advantage to Allies. Otherwise a complete sweatfest among the veterans of the game. It’s honestly a shitshow some matches.
Moscow - For the most part even, but like in Berlin Allies got a bit advantage.
Stalingrad - Very even. Many new players combined with veterans on both sides. You can honestly cue on both sides any time of the day and have no idea what the scoreboard will look like when you press tab.
Moscow Soviet being the noob favorite while many sweatlords prefer Axis there but not completely one sided like Normandy, Tunisia and even Pacific. Berlin Soviet sure another noob favorite but not as bad as Moscow with the better starter equipment for them like PPS-43 can do the job just fine supported with other strong early level selections like SVT-40 and DP-27.
Moscow is a complete shitshow now.
Killfeed be like:
MKb (sniper)
MKb H
Pz IV F2
MG 131
Suomi
VMP
MG-42 eARly
Yeah, Battle of Moscow my ass
Also the T-34 + T-50 combo is aids.
In Berlin: every sweatlord is using the hoodie boys with MG-45/STG-45/AS-44/RPD or some other fictional BS.
Plus Tiger/King Tiger grey zone camping while being invincible mmmm delicious.
Honestly this game is becoming an enraging experience both from historical and gameplay standpoints.
I remember back in the day when it launched and everyone was using bolt actions/MP-40s/PPD-38 at least you weren’t deleted by premium-buying-sweats in a millisecond and often even the lost matches felt good.
Pacific from my experience: morons who dont build any rallies ( both sides), running and bazai’ing like crazy monkeys everywhere due to long distances. Japan has more real players but total retardation for both sides.
Nobody know how to use land vehicles properly. Planes are near to non existence
Also everybody was waiting pacific to be slower paced bolt heavy but guess what: its even more faster and stresfull than stalingrad , tunisia and moscow.
Wider maps and bolt heavy shouldve ended up opposite results but nah.
We have the most tactical maps we can use yet playerbase manage to turn it into berlin without steroids
Moscow has the 2nd largest gap between high level and low level players after Normandy both in small arms and vehicles with PPSh, AVS, Fedorov, Mkb and Kiraly vs bolt actions along with T-60/Panzer II vs T-34/Panzer IV F2/III J unlike in Berlin with some skill, starter tank can take care of top level tank like a Panzer IV can blindside a T-34-85 or IS-2, same thing with Tiger and King Tiger with a T-34-85. Also Moscow having the most premium MG squads especially Axis with MG30, Patronentrommel MG 13 and early MG42 like some of the worst P2W players are seen with Moscow Axis alongside the premium Panzer IV that’s a huge deal since most AT weapons in Moscow besides AT guns and GrBs are anti tank rifles to the point that a Soviet solution to the German panzer spam in Moscow is T-34.
Atleast Stalingrad is less egregious with the gap despite the paywall like low level players can get more capable tanks like the KV-1 early also no premium MG squads there.
As s moscow main I gotta say allies are mostly played by casual f2p players like me
Axis are filled with p2w whales, wallet warriors that have no skill running around with their 60€ squads.
That’s why axis loose more ofter, because many axis players payed their way to higher ranks and the new matchmaker puts them together with us more skilled players
i don’t know if axis player spam premiums. but i fear every match where i have to fight the soviets. it always feels like they have insanely nice gear in comparison.
… until i’m the one who uses the soviet and then the axis team i am fighting against are filled with crackshot firing at target practice dummy which is me and my team.
… i guess i’ll just stick to axis, at least i can cuss about soviet bias and the power of capitalism of the allies.
maybe it will change with higher campaign level? i am quite new to this game, only a couple months old.
yeah it’s quite hard for new players in this game
I would like to give you a tip but this is a core enlisted problem with end-game weapons being far superior than early game guns
Try not rushing the objective too much, I suppose you have mostly bolt action rifles in your inventory. These guns will almost always one-shot at any range so try finding a good spot where enemy cant reach you easily and kill them from long range.
End-game gear is very powerful but most automatic end-game guns don’t have very good accuracy. Most veteran players have a bad habit of arming all their squads with full auto guns which are weak at long range so use it to your advantage and don’t get too close to them
Soviets have very powerful SMG’s but they are lacking on long range firepower having worse LMG’s than Germans.
Germans are a good faction for passive players, if you like sneaking, camping and sniping, play Germans
Soviets are more run-and-gun type of faction. Their weapons are perfect for aggressive playstyle. Most soviet SMG’s have more than 70 bullets per magazine and they fire really fast.
