Because they won’t crawl unless you do so. Not to mention bipod, bipod is not in the dictionary of the bots.
Maybe you’ll think you can crawl more othen to make the bot fire their MG in battle, but this isn’t practical at all, if your squad is in crawl state they will be extremely slow and sluggish, which mean they will be left behind in some random corner and never see the enemy.
Even if you do get into a good shooting position and waiting enemy get into your squad’s sight, they will just blocking each other’s fire and shooting on your *ss

How could the devs don’t know these problem when they are making is weapon?

For the general AI behaver issue I think it will never be fixed, the dev team doesn’t have the skill and resources to make huge change to the bots.
But they should at least learn to proactively lie down and use this weapon.

It would be cool if it was a common thing MG bots would do, lie down to fire. For all MGs, that is.

Not all of the time, mind you, but still organicly and on their own.

This I fully 100% agree with. If the Dev’s had a competent AI person then the HORRIBLE Bot play would have been addressed and FIXED quite some time ago. Since people (me included) have been complaining about the terrible bot play for what, a couple years now? If they had the skill to fix it, I think they would have. Either that or they just don’t care that their bots are embarrassing. :no_good_man:

The AI is so bad that this gun will never be able to be used by a bot unless it is changed to be able to shoot from an upright position. IMOP this gun, like the German Solothurn AT rifle are completely worthless if they are made to be lay down weapons only.

I mean, lets spend the time to model and build a cool weapon, only to doom it before it’s released. :joy:

The only possibility I can think of for them to fix the bots ​​is after they add Infantry to WarThunder (rumored to be a squad mode in WT), and the larger player base of WT is all complaining about the terrible AI. In that case, Gaijin might consider investing in improve their AI, and Enlisted can get benefit from this if it is still alive then.

They need to do something. I stop playing Enlisted more because of bot frustration then poor team mate frustration, in fact I cannot even refer to my team AI Bots without using the four letter word. :rofl:
