Since bombs get nerfed but not the rockets.
1 shot of HVAR/RS132/Gr 21usually kills more infantry than 250kg bomb regardless the contains much less TNT than the bomb.
Personally I think rocket’s damage is OK but the Bombs have been nerfed too much.

Its beacuse of the dmg model of bombs, now if infrantry just simply prone near even 500kg bomb there will be fine, unless bomb will be for example in ditch and there are above it, then it can kill/down people 40m away, and since normandy is full of small ditches/hills sometimes you will score crazy hits and sometimes nothing, rockets dont have this issue since for:
1 they explode instantly, not time to prone/hide
2 there explosion is the same as it was before nerf of bombs they dont explode upwards like bombs but all around so proning near explosion wont save you
Its not the question of tnt, its the explosion model they changed

the explosion model definitely changed the planes power.
Before the change Ju188 was the best, but after that, p47 is the only plane kills 20-30+ infantry per round, while ju188 kills about 8-16.
and for the Pe 3 in moscow, it no longer has any RS132 rocket, which is powerful now… what a pity.

Yeah but there are points/map where those bombs are still redicoulus in power, one map that i dont remeber name, where you attack bunker on the beach and allies need to crawl up there, and since they go on upper hill if you drop down bombs, down of hill you get easily 20-40kills and pretty much destory thier entire push, bombers are just very much now map/point situatinal

I’ve seen multiple squads killed by 1 German bomb… when HVAR’s do lots of damage it is usually because they got spread over a large area…
In both cases the main thing that determines kills seems to be how bunched up the target is.
How much are you on hte receiving end of bombs?
50kg ones in Moscow still kill enough for me to be happy with them, and Stuka’s therr and in Tunis seem to have litle trouble getting kills.

all rockets kill many soldiers never tried to disperse them?, the m8 rockets of the p38j-15 are just as effective as the havars of the p47 against infantry, as well as the german and russian ones

They are effective but nowhere near hvar.
The cone shape they make should be slightly flatter than it is right now. It is a > V < shape and should be a > U < shape .
Would increase the effectiveness vs tanks as well to make their god of war status a bit less.
There already is.
Missile damage should be weakened and bomb damage slightly increased. Missiles now do tremendous damage. Ten Hwar missiles can clear the whole field.
This makes the pilots too strong. Bombs and missiles should do damage, but not that kind of damage.

Shouldn’t the HVARs be HEAT anyway?
Heat missile should not kill everything within a radius of 10 meters.
In any case less than a 250kg bomb

They aren’t really behaving like HEAT.

Consider that (usually) rockets are easier to aim than bombs

Not necessarily - HE rocket had 3.4kg of explosives, the HEAT one had 2.2kg - both of which are plenty to kill a tank or personnel in the open.
According to wiki initial warheads were a modified 5" naval shell - it doesn’t give a date, but initial service use was at the time of D-day.
no they aren’t - they can kill entire squads if they are bunched up f’sure, but even 50mm mortars can do that!
They are much less effective vs light armour like the Puma - you have to get a direct hit whereas HVAR can kill it with a near miss.
