The "BIG" suggestion dedicated to new OBT players

Hi,

This is a topic that brings back my old CBT suggestions and shows it to new players.

This is a big suggestion because it contains multiple topics and goals I wanted. Some of my favorite suggestions are already implemented in the game so I will put the ones that are not implemented or badly implemented.

Let’s begin:

1. Weapon limits

the main problem past me had was that rare rifles have no limits for their use. CBT doesn’t offer a lot of rare rifles but in Alpha tests and Enlisted streams, we saw a lot of Easter eggs leaking future guns.
https://forum.enlisted.net/t/secret-documents-in-files/3519/2?u=73507743

People who play soviet teams know that by playing for over two months, they can arm all their soldiers with overpowered Winchester M1895 rifles.

Now what will this look like in OBT?

The entire German army armed with super rare Erma EMP’s

Or Soviets running around with Fedrov avtomat assault rifles

Also to mention that in Normandy and Berlin playtest, we had the ability to arm every soldier class with StG-44
Do you think entire squads armed with these guns is okay?

Why is it better if we had weapon limits

By having one soldier in player’s whole line-up using a rare weapon, using this weapon and getting kills with it will feel satisfying

Also, unlocking the rarest weapons will feel like getting trophies and players will have passion to grind and collect all of them

For example: you have an StG-44 guy which you love and defend the most instead just having a whole army of StG guys, that way you’ll just end up bored

If you happened to read all the posts above, you can see that I suggested that only one rare weapon can be used per match so we can avoid seeing whole armies armed with rare weapons.

One of the suggested systems for weapon limits

When I started playing, most my opponents were armed with normal rifles. But after progressing, everyone is armed with submachine guns and riflemen all use grenade launchers which made the game completely broken meaning that every fight is in close quarters and gameplay is aggressive and sometimes even frustrating. To make this problem disappear, I came up with a plan, WEAPON LIMITS. So here’s how it works:

Weapon rarity:
All weapons will have their rarity, from “common” to “very rare”. Common weapons will be easy to get and can be used in unlimited numbers. Uncommon weapons are stronger rifles like pre-war Kar, better mosins and regular submachine guns can only be held by 5-7 soldiers from player’s lineup (when I say lineup, i mean all squads not just one). Rare weapons (Mp-41, PPK, PTRS-41, Rifle grenade launchers…) can only be obtained by 1 soldier. If Player has more guns of this class, he can choose which rare weapon will he use but will never have access to arm 2 guys with them. If the weapon belongs to premium squad only, player will have luxury to arm 2 soldiers with their premium weapon. Very rare weapons (RD-44, maxim-tokarev, FG-42, Fedrov avromat, AVS-36…) function exactly like rare weapons but they are even more extremely rare to get from boxes and getting one is like receiving a trophy.

2. Bigger/ More open maps

OBT brought to us some open maps but a lot of maps are still small. I will not get into details because I think devs are working on fixing this issue.

Maps should be more open and spacious.

Fortified district is a great open map and all the other maps should be as open

3. Asymmetrical balance for Normandy

Right now, M1 Garand is unlocked at lvl. 20 which is too high for such a unique ww2 symbol

Americans should have more semi automatic rifles while Germans should have better bolt action rifles making americans great at attacking and Germans great at defending

Germans should also get better MG’s/ MG squads (they already kinda do) and better but less numerous tanks (right now German top tank is Pz-4H which is weaker than american Sherman Jumbo)

To counter superior German tanks, American get air superiority.

4. Asymmetrical balance for Moscow

This is kinda similar as Normandy but in an opposite way.

Germans as attackers get much more tanks, air superiority, more manpower and better universal Machine guns

While Soviets as defenders get better but less numerous tanks, shielded stationary MG, a “little bit” more semi automatic rifles and more Molotovs but less grenades.

5. Better MG’s

  1. The community wants Lafette MG-34 and MG-42

Instead of giving us an MG on sandbags, lafette mount is realistic plus it reduces recoil. Height can be adjusted (you can set it high and use it as an anti-aircraft gun) and players can build sandbag cover by themselves.

  1. The community wants M1910 Maxim heavy MG on wheels
    image

Maxim is an iconic ww2 weapon using the good ol’ water cooled system. This MG was the standard soviet heavy machine gun of ww2. The variant you see in the picture is M1910/30 which was produced from 1930-1945 and saw a lot of service even in the Vietnam war.
It had a shield which protected against pistol caliber bullets (and even rifle bullets at long range)

  1. Community wants M1919 on tripod for Muricans

This MG was not better than the MG-34/42 but it was good enough to do get the job done
Low RoF will allow this Machine gun to keep shooting without overheating the barrel which will make it great for noob friendly combat.

Are you a new moderator?

First time seeing you here

Errr… he is not new.

He even presented him self quite a long time ago.

As the tag says, he returned after 5 month.

Anyway, I’m not sure what is lafette mg 34 and mg 42, but we have those in the line up for the German army on Normandy. Just wanted to let you know.

For the rest, I agree with pretty much all the points
( exept asymmetrical thingies but thats just probably me )

I was made moderator back in November last year but have not really been active since due to university priorities. That has finished now and I have more free time to play Enlisted and help out on the forum, so here I am.

Laffete MG-34 is an advanced tripod which reduced recoil.

It was used by the German army throughout the war

Welcome back :slightly_smiling_face:

Fair enough. If meant as emplacements, it would be more aproriated at Moscow. Since there, we are time travelers with mg 42 ( with the new map ) :joy:

I dont think this good idea. People already spend their tickets to equipment and now they cant use them cause rules got changed if implemented

If i understood that right it means if someone bought grenades as soviet he cant equip them? Instead he has to use precious tickets to useless molotovs. Also i dont think soviet grenades was rare at that time

Make suggestion like this, because what you mean bigger maps? New map for moscow bigger and what? She look not good
https://forum.enlisted.net/t/topic/5044?u=1327954

I don’t understand a single word you’re saying

Actually current solders can equip one or two grenades

Giving them more Molotovs means giving them the ability to arm more Molotovs than they currently can

Same with grenades for Germans, 2 grenades max without the grenade pouch (instead of one that they currently use(

This map big and open

Yes, that’s what I said

Bruh, map for campers

🤦

And how about those premium squads? If someone bought that ppk 41 and ppt27 squads they can only use 2 smg while those squads was advertised having 4 of them?

Limiting weapons now would require wipe to almost everything cause people already spend their tickets and squad upgrades. Just another example: Someone got those 2 smg squads, leveled regular assault squad and unlocked assaulter to every squad possible, used all troop and weapon tickets to gear said assaulters. So after limit all those silver tickets spebd to assaulters are wasted and those tickets are itself limited.

edit. oops meant to reply at topic not person… my bad

This was a copy-paste from an old post

Weapon limits could be adjusted to match the current situation

Can you translate that post of yours from the russian section

It seems that you want open maps too

I like the idea of weapon limits.

Personally, as a new player, I’d like to see the asymmetrical stuff played out with equipment and abilities.

For instance, on Normandy, having the Americans having their progression be tied towards a more aggressive playstyle (Getting things like Flamethrowers, Better Assault, Radiomen, Assault Aircraft earlier)
And Germans having their progression be tied towards a more defensive playstyle (Getting things like Machineguns, Engineers, RPGs, and Fighter Aircraft earlier.)
