The Bf 109 G6 Erla - a modified Bf 109 G6 for BR4

The Bf 109G6 Erla is a modification of the Bf 109 G6 that replaces the flatter cockpit of the normal G6 with a slightly more rounded one that improved visibility, but flight performance remained the same as the normal version and had access to the same wide range of armaments. As is, the Bf 109 G6 is a BR3 fighter in performance, but with the right armament options on the Erla version, it could be a formidable BR4 fighter. Whereas the normal G6 uses a 20mm MG151 cannon in the propeller hub, the Erla can use a 30mm Mk 108 cannon instead, which will massively increase it’s firepower. In addition, the payload could be increased by adding dual Wfr.Gr.21 rockets mounted on the wings and potentially swapping out the four small bombs for a 250kg bomb. I think that this would best be used as a new TT fighter, since the other BR4 fighters are rather lacking in a few aspects and could use this.

Yes, a decent number of 109 G6s were sent to Finland during the Continuation War, not sure how many of this version were sent though. Weird that it isn’t part of Germany in WT at all though, even if it is just a normal one with a different model.

I had meant not getting the Erla version of the G6, not the normal one even if it was just an event or BP vehicle, but that’s getting into discussing a different game. Thanks though.

I would preffer the BF 109 R6 which allowed the User to use R4M rockets and the experimental panzerblitzs both with Anti tank capabilities (but none capable of create devastation as HVAR since these we’re AT only)
