The next issue i was going to state were planes which have become increacingly harder to deal with considering you must have either a engineer squad or another plane to take down, and while tanks may be hard to kill by infantry a well placed AT grenade which everyone starts out with can take it down. Another thing i find with planes is that their payload can wipe a whole team making it very duificult to even place down an AA gun in the first place not to mention that the plane can just run away from everyone if at any point it feels it is threatened. Im not sure what the solution could be for this issue possibly turn it into a killstreak thing but that would be unfair towards the players who spent the time to unlock it though i doubt anyone has actually made it to the top tier planes without paying
long story short planes are not hard to use and can be more effective than 2 coordinated tanks
You can also throw molotovs on the front and it blinds them.
I’m surprised to see that artillery is not getting any changes yet.
To me, is the artillery meta spam, the most game breaking and annoying thing in this game. This is of course not happening in every game, or on every map, but it do feels like, that it is getting more and more common, especially if you are playing against or with “quality” players on either side, who know how to abuse it.
It goes without saying, that a beta game have plenty of issues, but this is honestly my main concern about the gameplay and appearing meta. I have battles everyday, where the game feels like a tinnitus / head shaking simulator for 10 to 15 mintues, and it is just awful gameplay. Sorry, but when 5 to 10 enemies and teammates alike decide to play the; “I’ll sit back and push this bottom every 30 sec” game, you just want to leave that battle instantly, specially on some Assault or invasion maps, where you know it will continue through the entire battle.
With the new update, where we see rank 2 radio operator squads coming into play, will this problem only intensify with the possibility of people having 2 radio operator squads in their selection for battles.
So what is the solution to this problem?
Set the cooldown to 60 sec from 30 sec, is one option. One that might make people think twice about taking the artillery squad if they just want to play the passive game.
Another idea, is to set a maximum amount of active radio operator squads per team, such as 2 or 3, just like tanks and plains.
A bit controversial, but removing friendly fire from artillery, could be a thing. Since I do believe, that it is as often an “not the best team-mates,” artillery hitting down in places it shouldn’t, that will leave me head shaking in real, as much as in the game, trying to win the game.
The last suggestions, is to reduce the head shake, so it would be possible to hit a door more then 2 feet away the next 5 sec.
Reduce the tinnitus, so we wont actually keep hearing it, after we put our headphones away.
Reduce the direct damage to the bots running around like headless chicken, making them easy targets, for both snipers and a second, third or fourth wave of artillery.
Now, I might just be an old man, salty, grumpy and sad about such a meta and tactic being used this often in the games. But I could not help, to make a small effort to voice my concern.
Happy head shaking.
Man, everybody is fkn angry with those non stop 250kg bombs… EVERY time there is a bomber in the map he ALWAYS have more than 100 kills and many of them tanks.
So this is just a fkn joke. If they don’t fix it they will lose a lot from the playerbase.
Agree on the problem. Strongly disagree in the solution. I think adding more options is the best way forward. Adding HEAT and smoke shells to give them another effective choice besides default. Give them binoculars that provide a density buff on shelling when used. Adding a longer barrage with a much longer downtime in return would reduce the frequency of strikes.
If you think it’s realistic of players with those unlimited 500kg bombs to have more than 150 kills per game then just you don’t get the point
