The Arisaka, my new favorite Japanese weapon

I love the Ariska, as well as the Soviet RMN-50, but I have had more playing time with the Ariska. Restricted to four, but what kind of carnage could we do with a nine man rifle squad filled with these. I use them as my primary weapon, so I get 11 rounds with my four soldiers using large ammo pouches. I have to change my Soviet squad as I have them setup as backups, which only gives me 4 rounds for the RMN.

If the Devs improve the Arisaka mortar sights then it’d be perfect.

I hate handheld mortars. They are the most toxic thing ever. I wish them and AP mines would be removed from the game. I don’t even know to be honest if any of the handheld mortars were actually used or not in WWII.

cry harder, mines aren’t op, they never been but thanks to people like you they get nerfed, so for make it be more powerful I mix them with AT, so if you are blind enough to don’t see them it’s your issue

I would love lee enfield discharger and the german versions or italian ones

I love it

I never said they were. They’re just annoying. I shouldn’t have to keep looking at the ground whenever I enter doorways or stairs when there’s enemies right in front of me. The only saving grace when breaching houses is being an assaulter, since we run fast enough to avoid detonating it.

I’m not the only one that hates them. Quadro, one of the best Enlisted players and an actual game designer, hates them.

In actuality, I always hated the rifle mounted grenade launchers, and now the mortar rifle launchers as well when you’re playing against them. Nothing used to piss me off more then getting entire squads blasted with them from a single shot. I have had the grenade launchers with the M1 Carbine, but I rarely used them since IMOP, without the grenade launcher the M1 Carbine was weak for BR3 and I could only carry I think four of the M1 grenade’s. I’ve had the RMN-50 Soviet mortar launcher for well over a year or so, but never really used it, and I had it as a back up weapon, the thought never occurred to me that they could be your main weapon which gave you 11 rounds with a large ammo bag as opposed to just four as your back up. Eleven mortar rounds, and four soldiers carrying is almost insane and to be honest, is somewhat OP. If I were in charge of Gaijin, this would not be so, I would cap their total ammo and would have allowed them as back up weapons only.

To be honest, I never had much of an issue with the RMN than I did with the Arisaka Mortar. I don’t know if the RMN had been nerfed at some point, or if it’s simply just because more people have the Arisaka than the RMN.

I bought four of the RMN-50’s back when Gaijin had everything at half price just before they closed the BP. That is also when I bought up all the extra squad slots for my Allies, Soviets and Germans. I have quite a few BP weapons I would not have had if they were’nt half price, which I am sure many others did the same. If Gaijin had any business sense, they would be opening up the store again, even for a brief period and having a sale.

Anyway, back to the RMN. I very rarely play Soviets BR3, so I never used it, and since I occasionally play BR2/3 with the Japanese, I did use the Arisaka so that was really my first using them. I have since changed a level three Soviet Rifle squad to carry four of the RMN’s as their primary weapon, but again, I rarely play BR3 Soviets.

Since discovering custom matches, I now have a custom match squad for all my factions, which means I have squads from several BR levels which is nice. I am getting a lot more practice with bolt actions and BR2 and BR3 semi auto’s.
