Should we start a tradition of thanking engineers at the end of the battle? These unsung heroes of this pointless (well, except oil) war. Those who choose team over personal k/d? Those who crawl under enemy fire to enable the rest of us to spawn where the enemy least expects us?
Maybe this’ll encourage more people to pick up their hammers (and sickles) rather than pew-pew-pew?
Just a quick: “Engineers, thank you, guys” will suffice.
how old are you ?
This isn’t a dating forum, and I don’t swing that way, dude, sorry.
Yesterday on manor is save te match bulding all the fortification myself for stop the enemy at main gate but no one in chat says “thanks random dude wo save us to lose in 5 minute” so i totally agree we need thanks a lot of thanks
Thanks are given to someone when he/she does something special. Placing down rally points is something that everyone should do, not something special or deserving of any thanks.
I can only imagine how much spit you ate in your food with that attitude
Funny how you make a topic about thanking people and being nice then insult someone the second he/she just presents a different opinion. Enjoy the flag ! :3
?
– Let’s thank those people
– People who simply do their job don’t deserve to be thanked
– Well, they probably spit in your food, you know that, right?
– You just insulted me! Flagged!
You do you, I could use another flag.
I don’t think Engineers should get any special thanks, I think the Engineer squad should be used more and rewarded more, and I say this as someone who spawns Engie at least once a match.
A good Engie will win the battle for their team, I think that’s reward enough.
Yeah, but many people don’t use their engineers (especially outisde of their specialized engineer squads), because they feel it’s somehow “boring”. The usual mentality is “let someone else do it”.
So thanking engineers could make others go: “hm… maybe I should consider building a rally and placing a few ammo boxes too”.
Think of it as a social experiment.
There is in-game chat for such things.
Yes, this is what I’m talking about - before the end of the match, just type “Thanks, engies”.
Wait, what did you guys think I was proposing?
Agreed, but only the engineers.
I’m not thanking an attacker pilot, even if he has 400+ kills, and won us the game in the end.
No honour in stomping lemmings.
Not going to lie - this is one of the reasons I wanted to do it. There’s been too many CAS spammers lately who think they are “carrying the team”, while the “useless idiots” on the ground can’t cap points.
We just should get massive XP if a team member spawns at our radio, radios and capturing should get the most XP in this game, since that is was matters most.
You can thank me now. I will remember it next time I build a game-winning rally point.
Mmmh, would it be ok to thank the FIGHTER pilot though? That selfless guy who hop in his tiny plane, forsaking personal xp gain to focus on enemy cas entirely when they abuse it? (If yes, you’re welcome, people)
when they are not busy spamming “need enemy ordinate” on a figther
Why would a fighter focusing on enemy cas need coordinates? Bombing (if the fighter even HAVE bombs) should be secondary…
Because most of the player are stupid and even with a figther try to bomb
