I always rushed like a maniac inside the jumbo.
I ill do the same with the panther.
Giving enemy a fair chance to kill me it’s more rewarding than a 200-0 score. That gets boring after few games.

I mean, the Panther has the same gun as both Pz 4s, and seeing how braindead most of the people playing them seem to be, I wonder how effective the Panther truly will be. Most tank fights will probably devolve into a Ping Pong match, until an Infantry comes with a det pack to kill one of the tanks.
They didn’t give it the L/70 KwK 42? If so that sucks. That gun has a lot more Pen than anything a PZ4 or Stug Ever had.

I can’t login until tonight, but are the Stats on the Gun Penetration Values the same?
The PZ 4 is the shorted barreled version of that gun, the Panther should have the L/70 which allowed it to fire a round that penetrated much better.
Can’t see the pen stats, but I saw a long Barreled 75, and knowing Gaijin, I assumed they took the easy option. Altho, the game says the Panzer IVs has the KwK 40 and the Panther has the KwK 42, so I might be wrong

Also, this isn’t a “thank god” situation. They’ve fixed nothing. All they did was put a proverbial brick on the Axis side of the scales and tip the weight entirely in that direction. Now we’ll have camping Panthers, which frequently get the high ground in Normandy, to which is out of bounds to the other team, instead of Jumbos. All they did was reverse the problem.
Oh, and the fact that the premium Jumbo power crept the regular one by getting an APCR round to deal with Panthers… don’t even get me started there.

Honestly Panzerfaust is good enough for me, Panther is a bonus. Finally some alternatives to kamikazes with explosives or Ju188.
