Testing the "Operation Neptune" update

So no the Type 99 is just a stat clone of the type 96 but without the insane smg levels of recoil reduction but the 10% that is normal for lmgs… Wow that is just terrible for BR 3.

Stupid question but what changed here?

All what I see here, is the now worst br3 semi in the game?

Used to do 11.6 damage at 100m.
Soviets are doomed now, must buff SVT.

Still less that 15 dmg which is needed for body armor so why tf would they bother changing the damage fall off but not the damage itself? Like whats the point of this change?

EDIT: I guess its a few extra meters off one shot against the US but WTF this is still stupid.

Where exactly is the buff? Am I blind?

So what about the vehicle reload time changes? Will they ever be officially confirmed aswell?

Dispersion but thats it

wow - I won’t use it on BR II with that ROF

Nice to see some historical (if very selective) Thompson ROF changes.
Might need some more spare ammo, though.

Changes to BR 2 Type 4&5 launchers from same report when?

BR 4 version was left out on purpose?

Brings it to a nice 69 when maxed.

Sniper version was left out on purpose?
Also, Type 100 rifle for event paratroopers is basically the same gun as 99.

Erma EMP 44 went from BR IV to III and now II lol

This is a really needed buff, it had really bad fire rate for a BR II bolt action rifle.

This was also a good buff, recoil was the only thing holding this weapon down.

Since we’re adding extra mags, I think Gorov LMG is one of the weapons that need some extra magazines. 20/40 without ammo pouch for an full auto only gun feels too small. BR II LMG like the Lahti-Saloranta/26 which uses the same magazine as the Gorov LMG has 20/80 without ammo pouch.

Other than faster fire rate, the AVS-36 20 and AVT-40 20 is a lot more practical.

I’m so happy that my favorite weapon has become much easier to use. I was getting really tired of the Lancaster 50.

Great change! (alongside a lot of others, G41 and Gerat 03 buffs were really needed, same with G43 Kurz ammo count)

Any chance the other Type 99 (Early) derivatives will get the same buff? (Type 99 with grenade launcher, Long Type 99 Sniper and regular, Type 100 rifle).

The late type 99 could do with a minor firerate buff too (same RoF as the old 99 early would be ideal, but same RoF as the Kar98k kriegsmodell would be fine too).

Would also be nice to see a firerate increase for the P14 rifle, and movement dispersion buffs for the P14, SMLE and Kar98k kriegsmodell to be in line with other bolt actions (15->8).

This one is buffed to 69 when maxed as well. Long 99s and 100 are unchanged.

Oh that’s great, thanks for sharing! The type 100 is (like you said) basically the same gun (irl and in-game), so should def be brought in line with the base 99 early.

Could do with an ammo count increase too imo (alongside all the other low tier para squads, the thompson para is gonna chew through ammo with its new RoF), to be the same as the high tier para squads (basically 1-2 extra mags over their base weapon variants).

Type 99 rifle (early): Base RoF 48 → 60

While the fire rate increase is nice, it’s still arguably worse than the Type 38 Rifle in BR1. I’ll take the increased RoF, muzzle velocity, and accuracy of the Type 38 over a little extra damage and reload speed. I wish there was a more compelling reason to upgrade once you hit BR2, since You’re probably already going to have a dozen or more fully upgraded Type 38’s on the cheap already.

Type 4 Rifle: Fixed damage falloff at longer ranges (similar to other rifles like the M1 Garand)

This is a move in the right direction. Now if we could do something about its accuracy that would be grand.

Type Otsu: Base recoil 66/34 → 49/25

Love this! Can’t wait to try it out.

Type Ko rifle: Reload time 5.4 → 3.6, Recoil 68/25 → 49/18

Oh how I wish this was in the tech tree. It’s everything that the Type 4 Rifle wants to be.
