No bias, if I’m paying for a premium i expect it to be somewhat not terrible, unique or even slightly better than the TT variant.

Calliope is BR 4 and has its drawbacks.
Uh, I think DF might have been playing it smart here. They knew from the start that if they put this thing at BR4, there’d be a ton of complaints, because the gun’s stats are basically the same as the American .30 Thompson being moved down to the silver tech tree.
They probably planned to put it at BR5 first, wait for people to complain, and then have an excuse to lower it to BR4. That’s a pretty clever plan.
Of course, it’s also possible they just didn’t think it through at all and were winging it step by step.

Again, KV1 has a turret, MG and better armour all around. It’s quite hard to destroy with explosives and TnT too. Can’t compare the 2.

No, no, that’s because it has the extra armor plates fitted. Besides, the Soviet tanks right now are using early ammo, not the late-war rounds. This vehicle actually feels really bad to play. It has a narrow gun arc like a letterbox, so you have to turn the hull constantly to hit targets.
Plus, once infantry gets close, it has no defense at all. The gun sight is set way too far back; you can’t fight at close range. You can’t judge it just by armor thickness. In complex terrain like Moscow’s forests and hills, it’s just not fun to play.
Saying a turretless tank only has selling points because of its armor is way too artificial. The Panzer IV should have those extra plates too, and its gun should be able to one-shot Soviet tanks. But right now, the shells from that gun feel like they’re filled with sand.

Still reinforcing the point as to why it should be BR 2.
I can compare the two in the fact that in armor, kv1 best stat, the stug3g is better. The stug 3 g also has a much better gun.
StuG has more drawbacks thus evening it out. It’s simple maths dude.
Kv1 has worse pen armor reload and stature. Stig3g doesn’t have a mg or turret. Tell me how that’s a full br difference when kv1 is already an amazing tank in its br.
