Top: the same layout every match. Bottom: the same map with different seeds, where dunes and rocks (cover) shift slightly each time, but both teams still spawn far apart.
Suggestion: Terrain-Adaptive Prone Animation
Right now, when a soldier goes prone on uneven ground, the body doesn’t match the surface. On rocks or slopes, a leg often sticks up in the air or the body floats above the ground, which looks wrong and can also expose the player for no logical reason.
My suggestion: make the prone pose adapt to the terrain under the soldier.
How it could work:
- In a hole, crater or trench: the body settles into the dip, so only the head is exposed to look over the edge. This would reward smart use of natural cover.
- Rock or obstacle behind the soldier: the legs rest naturally on it or bend over it, instead of one leg sticking up or clipping through.
- On slopes: the body follows the angle of the ground instead of staying flat.
Why it’s worth it:
- More realistic and immersive prone gameplay
- Cover and terrain matter more tactically
- Fixes the odd visuals (floating or raised legs) that make players easy to spot or look broken
I’m not asking for a full physics system. Simple terrain-aware posing (like foot and body placement adjusting to the surface) would already be a big improvement.

- Yes, great idea
- Yes, but only for holes and craters
- No, the current system is fine
