Tanks suck

Is it me or do tanks just suck in this game? When you’re trying to move you’re either getting stuck on every single object in your way including things that are completely non-existent or your tank is trying to go up a hill with an almost zero degree incline and has no get up and go. Often leaving you wide open to getting nailed by tank shells or explosive packs.

I propose they fix the pathing for tanks.

Pathfinding for tanks is by the driver - I suggest you practice more… perhaps even try it from the driver position if you do not do so already!

Even on flat roads though?

It is just you lol. However, I do agree that tanks get stuck on absolutely anything. That should be fixed.

That’s my issue, trying to drive on a road with next to no incline I’m getting stuck on random objects nothing in the road and nothing near me it’s like an invisible barrier

IIRC, there is difference between certain terrains as well.

Dang never thought I’d see my kind of terminology in an online forum

As for tank traversal, yeah it ain’t the best. Traction and weight are near nonexistent

Tanks are made for getting over the trenches
But not in Enlisted

To me fighting with tanks in the game is boring, even if I find a nice spot in the grey zone to take pop shots getting several kills. However, the only skill that entails is finding that sweet spot on the map where you can’t be targeted. As far as tank performance, my 2023 3 cylinder Toyota Wigo has more power and can drive over railroad tracks without getting stuck. Of course, my Wigo struggles knocking down tree’s so the Tank has one advantage.

In war thunder the best AA are the trees (they are Br 11.7) so it should be no surprise that the best AT obstacles in this game are rocks and small pieces of wood. Because those are clearly heavier than my 68 tonnes light Tiger.

Bro YOU are the pathing for tanks.

As someone with real-world experience, I can say that you have to be aware that if you go into tight spaces you will have dificulty maneuvering, tanks are big and often slow. On tje other hand if youre going to play in open spaces youre gonna stick out and be a huge target.

Yes but my point is an open road with no obstructions other than some bushes which can be ran through, The occasional tiny pebble on the road. And I’m behind buildings so there’s some sort of cover as I’m moving to a secure spot. I’m just wondering why I’m getting stuck. Nothing is in the way, The areas wide enough for the tank to move, And there’s the slight up and down from hills that are no higher than 3 to 4 ft, This is the same type of problem as the train tracks. Things tanks should be able to go over even with a little bit of effort, are getting entirely stopped at least for me. I do everything I can to make sure the tanks have more than enough room to move but still have some cover.

I never had a lot of trouble of the terrain, however looking out the commander hatch helped a lot with it.
Try to use it more often when ur moving to the “front”.

I think tanks are balanced by having very low visibility and generally being slow and having to pay attention about how to maneuver themselves around the battlefield. They have a powerful gun and armor to make up for their downfalls.

I will agree though tanks should have an easier time going over trenches and especially railroad tracks. That Normandy map with the factory and powerplant are very difficult to traverse I usually don’t even bother with tanks or the British carrier. For some reason the USA/UK universal carrier and the Soviet premium carrier get caught up the worst on railroad tracks.

If you look carefully, you will find that the tank will be blocked by anything, even a small piece of wood can make it unable to move. Yes, the mobility of tanks in this game is rubbish. I dare say it is even worse than the mobility of tanks in real life.

That’s just how the Pz. III J goes tho
