Tanks passed trenches

we all experienced how it feels to have your tank stuck in a trench, right?

well, thats actually a problem, since tanks historically could pass trenches, unless it was an anti-tank ditch or a really long trench
and even if one was stuck, trench could sometimes be ruined and tank would create a ditch

here are two good youtube videos i found for demonstration:

write your toughts and correct me if im somehow wrong

if the trenches where made of cement sure…but like in that other its ofc doable if its an trench that is small and the dirt is doable. If its an steep one with reinforced wood then maybe depending on the spacing ofc.

Think tanks could go over them if they had the speed for it that is which in game doesnt show for that ^^

if the wooden beams would be ruined, trench would get a bit sloped at sides due to dirt falling in

and since they are not destroyable, why dont they have good traction then? (must be very solid)

Its cause its made of 0s and 1s not real wood

If you can’t drive over the little bridges across the trenches, don’t get in a tank. Yet another thread crying about wanting to remove one of the few active threats to tanks.

actually i think this would encourage tankers to be spearheads rather than campers, taking some risk to get behind enemy lines/provide cover for infantry may pay back… or not

but such cooperation (at least in squad with other player) currently cant be done because tanks just fall into the trench and gets stuck there

If you drive over the metal things you can cross. Pretty sure they made tanks get stuck for balancing reasons.

metal things?

i’d say they wanted to make trenches wide, but shitty traction from war thunder doesnt allow tanks to cross
