Weird cause everywhere I look it isn’t. Also hilarious how you’re telling Europeans that they’re wrong about how they do something because you know so much
To sum up everything with a quote:
For example, in Europe we write three hundred thousand either as 300.000 (groups of three digits separated by a dot) or 300 000 (groups of three digits separated by a thin space). Whether a dot or a space is used differs by country, but in Europe we never use a comma for this purpose. That would be confusing, because the comma is our decimal separator.
Well for one, that’s on the internet, not really in Europe. Additionally, modern browsers are smart enough to realize what style you’re used to and use that.
Also, it’s really not hard to prove. Here’s a picture,
and in pretty much the rest of the world we use the dot to signify the transition from whole dollars to cents, what do you do when you don’t have a whole 300 grand write it 300.000.59
maybe its just cause i lived in a place that writes that number like 300,000.59 that it looks strange the other way around.
- It would be 300.000,59
- No, just places with heavy British and American influence do.
ok yea that looks extra strange to my eyes lol figure the same applies vice versa eh
i always figured the comma before the period method came from how we use those symbols in regular language comma is a short pause and period a long pause, it translates to how we pronounce currency like two thousand six hundred and twenty seven cents the numbers before the cents are always pronounced with very short pauses.
demo packs are too powerful on tanks … makes the AT weaps / bomber squads pretty useless. a single demo pack should immobilize but not kill . Maybe kill or wound a crew member but not knock out a tank.
I would be in favor of keeping the demo packs as is on some of the starter / light tanks but the medium to heavy tanks should be able to survive a single demo pack.
I’d rather have it survive the other way around. Due to the lack of a proper matchmaking system, the heavier tanks can easily change a game around. And if you don’t give an easy way for the lower level players to deal with it, it’s going to cause an outrage. If you need det packs nerfed, then the AT rifles should actually start working and become reliable. And maybe also bring back the ability to construct the AT cannon by all engineers irrespective of the squad they are in.
Tanks and it’s counters are perfect at the moment imo.
Yeah I understand about the early levels but if you immobilize the tank and kill some of the crew members then it’s not goin g to be around long after that.
And as i said I would be in favor of giving the demo paks the ability to knock out the lighter starter tanks. Just not the medium to Heavy tanks …
That’s a real problem, post pen damage and ammorack hits need to be buffed a lot.
Well it’s not a hand grenade, it’s a demolition charge, it’s suppose to destroy building, fortified position, etc. So destroying a tank with someting like a primitive version of today’s C4 isn’t too far fetch imo.
And a Molotov Cocktail is even cheaper and will actually mess your tank up if thrown to the right spot.
I think you’re mainly mislead by the gameplay necessity of making every tank explode when it’s destroyed or when the crew is taken out. Sure IRL a tank doesn’t automatically expode when tripping a AT mine, a lot of the time the crew is killed by the blast, you can even see tanks with the driver killed by a mine still rolling because no substential damage as been done to the vehicle.
But if you do this in game well you end up with people wasting time, ammo and squad members by trying to take out an empty tank that doesn’t look burned out. And then get frustrated and toxic because they don’t understand why they didn’t get any kill at the end.
its 5 sticks of blasting charge strapped together… they can end up using well over 100 to destroy a building…
I think a big problem is just how many you can have too. I run three squads of 7 troops each, and between them I have nearly 55 explosive packs with grenade backpacks…
Although I’m aware that the discussion about currency technically ended a while ago, I would like to remind everyone to remain on topic. Currency, strangely enough, is not related to how tanks are relative to explosives
Cheers
There is no ‘full-health’. There is ‘operational’ and ‘non-operational’. Grenades and explosive charges in the right spot, especially under the tank. It’s how I get most of my kills about them.
HEAT is a High Explosive Anti-Tank round. They have a fixed penetration rate regardless of distance. For a little more information on how they work, check out this video from War Thunder’s official channel, as I’d not be surprised if the assets in-game behave similarly.
