Tanks and planes

Is there a way that a top tier tanks can be a bit quicker in turret movements and bit more resistance to grenades/sticks of dynamite…I paid for an exclusive and they do well but a single troop drops a small explosive and destroyed it…also flight control cant be reverse without the controls affecting all the others…I’m also a little disappointed in the cost of the special items as the value is over the top…

That’s the whole point and the way devs justified the introduction of heavier and heavier tanks - they are “balanced” because every trooper with detpack can easily destroy them.

So no, heavy tanks shouldn’t be buffed in any way. Especially with argument “I paid for it, so they should not destroy me”

Not quite what I meant…I dont mean make it invisible make it a two shot kill on explosive instead of one…yes deliver damage
like track/turret disable…everything else is good…the turn rate on tanks is just that bit too slow for way game plays. Also the view in planes with reversible up/down controls.

Tank det packs…

Loving the game tho…just dont go cod or battle field on us lol.
Basically I think a top of top vehicle should require a bit more than one explosive device to destroy it…

I will agree that det packs are very powerful and could possibly be ever so slightly nerfed … But it’s not likely to happen any time soon.

Historically tanks and especially heavy tanks stayed in a support role and did not like to get close to infantry because infantry can always find a way to take out a tank.

Unfortunately DF has seen fit to put heavies in that situation. I see the powerful det packs as not just one weapon but a number of weapons or techniques used by infantry to take out armor .

How did armies in real life prevent this from happening? The tanks supported the infantry and the infantry supported the tanks. This doesn’t happen in enlisted all that much.

Try playing with a friend and have his infantry protect your tank from det packs and you will see how effective you will be …

Det packs are fine. There are a few thing that should be changed about them but I’d argue their effectiveness against tanks should be buffed instead of nerfed. I don’t mean they should snipe tanks across the map, they are just not reliable enough sometimes. They shouldn’t deal more damage, they should just have a more predictable result instead of “it’s on the engine deck. might kill, might not kill, we’ll see once it explodes. It’s Schrödinger’s det pack.” Also we already have many issues with tanks because of how people refuse to use the f-ing det packs. Plus the gray zone is a huge issue already.

Tanks aren’t and SHOULD NEVER be unkillable juggernauts destroying the whole universe. Their main role in this game is infantry support. Their weakness to infantry is completely justified, it creates a nice synergy between tanks and infantry where without infantry a tank will get det packed and without a tank infantry might not be able to crack a well defended target.

I have been getting better when I stay as far away from the front line…
I reckon that I will hopefully find a team to play with that plays the game as intended there are a few and its brilliant when it happens…

I can absolutely confirm that. One time I had it happen, it was absolutely glorious. I was moving up in my Pz IV J slightly behind our infantry to the side. Enemy infantry was busy with our infantry, so I was as safe as I could be without the gray zone, and I could create pretty big cracks in their lines which really sped up our infantry’s breakthrough. Absolutely loved that match, felt like an actual battlefield.

Yep…again I dont want to be in God mode just needs to be slightly more difficult to destroy a top tier tank than a beginner tank…in respect of det packs that is…

You can invert pitch on console if that’s what you mean. It’s just harder to do than it should be

just for your/everyone info, and since you have the alpha badge, you probably saw it too.

took multiple tnt packs to destroy a single tiger 2 tank in alpha , , and even disable a tiger track was a pain.
, and a single one to destroy a t34/panther back then.

I have my doubts that would still fly.
Ever since the game opened up the average skill level has tanked completely, and most players can’t kill a tank that goes down with 1 detpack that’s not even touching it.

That being said, tiger players would just camp the greyzone if they were re-added, so no luck detpacking them

We’ll see when the Tiger finally comes. For now detpacks can be very inconsistent between the campaigns. They destroy Panters and T-34s in Berlin with ease, but when I tried them on KV in Moscow back in the day (when it was present in Practice mode) the only way to destroy it was by throwing detpack right on the engine deck.

Back in the first open alpha tests they probably didn’t have that mechanic optimized properly yet and detpacks were prepared for Moscow more than for Berlin. That’s my theory.

Anyway, we’ll see.
