Sorry for the stupid question. If my tank do not possess the loader crew slot like for example the BT-7, if i give the loader perk to the gunner does it work?
As far as I know, no. As a general rule, you should assign relevant perks to the correct soldier… Gun perks to the gunner, loader perks to the loader, etc.

Remember they have to be placed in the right slot as well. It never hurts to have 1-2 backup loader gunners. You can have 1 loader 1 gunner perk 2 loader, 1 gunner but not all three.

you can also change your tank crew callsigns/name to their Roll in apparence tab to make swapping out/selecting your crew allot easier without having to check their perks. eg instead of your dedicated Loader crew member being called “vlad kuminmyass” you can just call him “Loader” or “Loader #2” if you run more then one tank

My gunners all have the same name Red Mist.
Thank you for saying this - I wanted to at the time, but the recent silver/XP bug struck me at a bad time… playing during the weekend didn’t count for my activity.
Yes, in tanks that don’t have a dedicated Loader position but that do have a Commander, the Commander will act as the Loader and thus will benefit from Loader perks.
