I have been searching but does anyone know what campaigns are getting certain tanks? I am a bit confused on the Time periods for each campaign.
i think
is very accuracy for each gun or tank
How do you mean?
The tanks are in the campaign calender - you can look them up in the game… is there something new coming out that I haven’t noticed?
we don’t know for 100% certainity but you can take a guess off of time period of the battles, however i do know 3 vehicles that are getting added; for normandy we have the jadgpanzer 4 that was revealed and for berlin it is is-2 and KTP
Just trying to wrap my head around everything is all
Ah that makes sense I guess I am just used to hearing Eastern Front, Western Front, North Africa, Italy type battles. Hopefully they have a campaign that includes the battles of Kursk, Brody, Goodwood, Raseiniai, El Alamein to name a few off the top of my head.
i would hope so too but it likely won’t be tanks only since those are in a game called war thunder
Yeah all those battles had infantry but they also had a ton of vehicles as well.
oh right - I get it.
Well there are some obvious ones that could be added I reckon:
1 Tunis: Sherman III and Pz-IV F2/G
2/ Moscow: T34/76 and Pz-IV F2/G
3/ Normandy: Apparently Jgdpzr IV, and good balance for that (plus panther) might be M-36 or Firefly.
All of those are, IMO, reasonable - so I guess we won’t be getting them because Enlisted has jumped the shark and is a ludicrous fantasy quagmire now.
Yeah
I would like to see the Allied side get the Easy Eight and the Firefly as their wasnt a lot of Jumbos produced their were more Pershing tanks produced than Jumbos. The Persh maybe if the Axis had the Tiger. That 90mm gun on the Persh can dish out some serious damage coupled with the right ammo would destroy some Tigers. Although as I like to play both sides currently working on the Axis. I would like to see the Axis get some nice stuff. I also would like to see heavier foliage as that first shot is all the difference and staying hidden means a lot on the field.
So accurate that multiple tanks that had never seen combat until well after Normandy are in Normandy.
Yeah kinda odd certain variants of tanks werent produced until after the Battle of Normandy.
if u want a real real historical accuracy dude, US can’t win German about tank, German tank are Dominated at Normandy, but this is a game, they must have balance (or a little balance)
Germany had no real armor presence in Normandy, and the US was well-equip for anything the western front saw.
There are no exact figures regarding German tank losses in Normandy. Approximately 2,300 tanks and assault guns were committed to the battle,[i] of which only 100 to 120 crossed the Seine at the end of the campaign.[11] While German forces reported only 481 tanks destroyed between D-day and 31 July,[211] research conducted by No. 2 Operational Research Section of 21st Army Group indicates that the Allies destroyed around 550 tanks in June and July[212] and another 500 in August,[213] for a total of 1,050 tanks destroyed, including 100 destroyed by aircraft.[214]
That’s a pretty real german armor presence for operation overlord.
Were most of those tanks PZ4. I thought the Axis had very little heavy tanks in the Western Front as most of the heavy tanks were in the Eastern front.
Since PzIII and PzIV variants made up most of the german tank production and deployment, it’s probably safe to assume most of the tanks lost were those. There is evidence of Tiger 1 specifically seeing combat in the West, East, and North Africa, though.
Yeah but not in the numbers like the Eastern Front.
Sure. I didn’t make any statements about how many tigers or other german heavies served on each front, just that there’s record of the tiger on every front. Some presence. shrug
Very true
I wonder what they calculate would be enough to show up in which battles. Like if there was 100 on the Eastern front but only 50 on the Western Front then they would say well not enough participated on the Western Front for us to add it to the Western Front. Then again it may be specific to the tank as they did add the Jumbo and what 300 were only produced?
