I just got the m8 scott after playing for around 30-40 hrs and am feeling like its a downgrade from the first tank since its open top has half the turret rotation speed of any other tank in the game and goes 1mph downhills. I think there should be a different tank squadron for this tank if its kept and have a more comparable tank given to the US side after spending all this time to get a new tank.
well, for experience,
the m8 unlike the m5, it’s less " broken ". that’s why it feels weaker. because the model it’s correct.
as such, i suggest you to play from distance, rather than following up with infantry and fight at close range.
best it’s to use it boged down situations. in order to keep a low profile. but keep in mind that your turret can be penned.
so keep moving.
HE are kinda hit or miss. but nontheless, when they work, they actually do the job.
weather for the other ammunition, always aim for the turrett and centre flat armor.
i wouldn’t reccomend to shoot germans tanks at the back, because as i experienced my self, for some reasons, you hardly damage components or put out of action the engine.
keep in mind that you are using an open top vehicle, so half of your crew can be shoot from higer position.
so yeah, if you understand your tank, it’s not that bad after all.
don’t upgrade it.
i would save silver orders for the sherman. but that’s up to you.

m8 scott is not and shouldn’t be a straight upgrade from the M5
M8 is a light, anti-infantry, mobile howitzer, it’s not a ‘‘tank’’
I am really happy with Scott. If you know how to use it, its beast. Its HE shells can shred the entire German team. For me its way way better than stuart. I had many battles when i was completely destroying German team near their spawn. I got like 50+ kills very often.
It’s not bad but it’s nowhere near as good as Sherman or other German tanks. MG gets knocked out every time + turret rotation is really bad.
Where is the German equivalent to the Sherman Jumbo? Just saying. 
Both stuart and M8 suck once you get the sherman that can kill tanks and infantry equally well. Sherman is love, sherman is life.
Wait till you get the sherman you will be getting 100 kills and 500 assists
