My question is simple:
What does the tank gunner perk (16 weapon points) “Increased targeting capabilities” do?

It allows you to aim horizontal and vertical at the same time instead of horizontal first and vertical second.

Thanks! Didn’t know that either.
To add up. The sight one moves don’t jump over once you stop moving the sight and compensate.
Without the perk if you move either vertical or horizontal on a fast movement the sight will keep is movement momentum and compensate to adjust once the mouse movement is stopped.
With the perk, at any movement at any mouse speed, the sight will stop moving once it finds the mouse spot in the screen and don’t over move and compensate after.

Seems to be a “must have” perk.

It is! Same with the Loader Perk and to some Degree the Driver Perks.
I have this perk on my PZ II crew and its totally worth it
