It could be improved by having free mouse view movement instead of the scroll adjustment. Than press example, firing button or scroll button to zoom into one of the view ports you are looking at. This would make it faster to look around the tank.

Do you mean sth like RO2’s one?
You can freely look around inside the tank, and scroll or press use key to interact with different scopes.
looking left/right as commander to go from view port to view port would be great, then lock into the “selected” viewport with right mouse button. The current system is way too slow to actually be of use.

yep, I just end up popping out of the hatch.

When the closed alpha testing started, I thought the commander’s hatch view was more convenient than popping out but no. Tried it once, found it was tedious, and never did it again lol. Just shifting to another viewing port in the hatch was taking like a second but it just feels very slow.
I support your suggestion, let’s hope they change it to free look around 360 degrees instead of moving the viewports one by one.

or use the key C to look around. like in soldier prespective outside a tank.
could solve your problem if they implemented that way.
