M45 (T26E2)
In order to meet the requirement of the troops in the European theater of war for a tank with a 105-mm howitzer, a gun of this caliber was tested in a medium tank T23. In June 1944, this was dropped in favor of the same armament in the T26E1. Designated T26E2, the vehicle had a redesigned turret for the howitzer and modified storage of ammunition. A heavier turret front was fitted to maintain the balance of the turret with the lighter cannon. In July 1945, the T26E2 was classified as ‘limited procurement’ and renamed M45. Only a small number were produced. Weight: 41,900 kg, ammunition 74 rounds of 105 mm shells, altitude range from -10° to +35° degrees. More specifications as on the M26 (see below).

There are two jobs for a tank to do in enlisted, kill tanks and kill everything else. The T26E2 is on of the latter with a Pershing hull and the famous 105mm us howitzer. Not in Warthunder yet its hard to tell what br it belongs in as it be great kill infantry but, its loadout would tell how good it be at killing tanks. does it have any HEAT rounds or APHE or is it just HE rounds like the Sherman 105mm. A reload that might even make the T26E1 look fast this could be fun at br 4 or 5.
if you voted no please tell me why, the tank only has standard Pershing armor max 100mm. is it to low for even br4 but to high for br3, or just no because its not in war thunder.
