T20

Even though the T20 in warthunder has only one model the T20 had three variants. TheT20 76MM M1 the T20R1 75MM and the 76MM M7 that was used in the GMC M10 tank destroyer. The T20 E1 had an auto-loader giving its ap and he shells a rate of fire of 20 rpm or 3 second reload. All three models had an earlier model of the HVSS od the easy eight.

T20E3

T22

The second tank the T22 started life as a light tank, increasing armor brought it to 20 tons. The first model the T22 was given the 76 mm M1 gun, the T22E1 had a 75 mm gun and an autoloader, then the T22E2 had the 3" M7 gun. Both the T20 and T22 suffered poor transmissions and a low top speed for a medium tank of 40KPH.

The T23 ironed out all flaws with the transmission and even improved the turret. it increased ammo storage from 64 to 80 rounds of 76MM ammo. over 250 were built before production was ended in favor of the Pershing tank and its 90MM gun. The T20 would be a great br4 tank a br4 76mm m1 gun with armor exactly in between the m4 and the Pershing.

Time for a rant, that the prototype t20 is in war thunder but not the limited production 250 unit t23 is not, is a shame. double shame that the t23e3 is in world of tanks. also never seeing a the m7 and m4 autoloader versions is equally bleak. the t20 would make a great tank at br4 giving the us a much needed panter killer.

T23 in the tech tree (It was almost adopted into service, more than I can say for a lot of other stuff in the US tech tree.) The autoloader version however would make a very good premium vehicle. Fits in perfectly for what I feel premiums should be.
