I played a good 6 matches on PS5 last night, all Germany BR5 and I have never had so many sweaty matches in a row, as I have done then.
I have no clue what it is. Maybe the update has dragged up the dreg of the barrel of players?
To give some flavour, GER v SOV, all Soviet players had body armour, excessively leaned and drop shotted, pre-fired corners and spammed molotovs.
I had to drop down to BR3 to have more chilled matches, but even at BR3 is was still sweaty, though not as bad at BR5.
When will the matches go back to a chill state?
This is a bad thing. We don’t want to loose players. Good matches are hard to come by. Wish i had as many good matches

Don’t think it is mutually exclusive to have a chill match and it also be a good one. If I wanted like a more competitive gaming WW2 experience, I would go play HLL
HLL is a sim. Sims aren’t exclusively competitive.
When your lobby is full of bots/retards it’s not a fun game, when you get steam rolled it’s not a fun game, when you curb stomp the other team it’s not a fun game. These types of lobbies are significantly more prevalent, and is not fun.
So yes, to me, a good game consists of an even match up with a close game for both sides. I’ll take these types of games every time. No one said you have to sweat yourself in these types of games either. Just play at your own pace, if you loose, you loose.
Br2/3 is the sweet spot for more “chill” games. You can also try turning crossplay off if it’s not already
Idk if u have played HLL recently, but is defo a more competitive experience than enlisted. This I mean like, every decision u take has to be considered / tactical
agree on this front… except when u have a bunch of soviet sweatlords who are fulled decked out in body armour
i know this already lol, i have squads dedicated to play BR2 / 3
it has been off for a long time
With the new update out, the sweats are out in force.
Stay safe, everyone.

Yes, it’s a sim. That’s the definition. Arcade games are also inherently competitive though, and is where most people go to play competitivly because sims are deemed boring/too much by most. It’s like trying to say halo, destiny, call of duty games aren’t competitive just because it’s arcade when halo 2/3 was the most competitive scene I’ve ever witnessed.
Honestly not trying to be mean, but i view this as a cope. It doesn’t have any affect on like 90% of gun fights. It’s only affective in very specific scenarios and conditions that are rarely met in this game environment. It’s going to come down to who shoots first for virtually every fight.
You can also try turning it on. I solely play in mixed lobbies now, but when i first started i would switch between the two. I found that a lot of matches were actually more difficult on console only because your team is more likely to be filled with worse players. When your team is better you have a greater chance of winning, not having to “sweat”, and gaining more freedom to play outside the meta if the goal of winning takes priority over playstyle.

i agree it would be cope if it was a one-off firefight, but when every soviet u play against has body armour, it is less cope and more meta. And so the Sov meta is just kinda annoying?
the rest of ur comments i will bare in mind
EDIT: Especially at BR5, the milisecond / extra bullet is basically the difference between having ur squad wiped / keeping ur squad - so basically having a productive outcome from a firefight. In the milisecond u lose because of the body armor, because I am not a MLG gamer able to get headshots against sweaty leaning, drop shotting soviets, I am downed / dead. Then, in the spent milisecond from the body armour I switch soldiers, and by the time I switch, they are being gunned down. So, idk if it is cope, or just an annoying meta
I’m always up for teaming up gentlemen and gentle ladies of the forums and the Discord.
Just yesterday I played a couple of games with @Chris_Vector .
We got our arses handed to us in all but one game.
