Svt40（ag）squad has the same mortar as the silver one.Nobody want to buy it.This if this squad is equipped with HM-38（120mm）or PM-41（82mm but it should be better than BM-41），more people will pay for it.
No one is buying this squad for the mortar anyway. The main selling point is that unique GL engineer structure.
Plus, not having a premium unique mortar means you can actually swap out mortars. Which is also quite beneficial.
Then it depends on whether you want to play this squad in BR4 or BR5. And whether you prefer to be more effective against infantry or tanks.
If they were to add new mortars to the game, they should put them in the tech tree. After all, that’s an item category where there isn’t much variety.
anyway, personally i bought it because of few reasons:

i’m still clinging on the " premium uniform on TT as long you bought them " ordeal.
which… it’s kinda on my mind.
for all we know, that ain’t gonna happen, since never has been a thing. -

but anyway.
i bought them because it is a rather stronger squad with the ability to have 4 mortars instead of 2.
it’s worth to mention that, the ussr has 3 mortars compared to others nations.
unlike japan which only has one…
or other nations that have only two.
so imo, for what it offers, its okay.
