I have the SVD-30 and it should have a decent hit power of 14.3 . But it has absolutely zero effect on opponents. Anyone aware of this issue also???

Damages drops significantly over distances, maybe you’re too far away.

I rarely use the squad, and when I do I use the secondary weapon far more, but at range the SVD seems pretty weak. I am not so much into sniper squads, so I pretty much always add a secondary weapon, then use the sniper rifle on occasion, but normally use the secondary. I also remove the scope for my engineer.

I wasn’t aware of the issue that you stated; however, it does seem difficult to actually hit anything that you’re aiming at with this weapon—so perhaps you are missing your targets. When I last used this weapon—and actually hit someone—it did seem to work.

Also, regarding perks: I tried applying both the vertical & horizontal recoil perks on this weapon. Neither seem to work AT ALL. Not sure if this is a bug or is intended by the devs. I never reported it (wasn’t in the mood at the time).

Maybe you can bring the weapon onto the test range to see if the recoil perks work for you. If not, maybe drop and devs a bug report.

I run it every with the soviets! 4 Radioman with rocket arty, winchester M1895 as second weapon, engie on top and 5 AT Mines - absolutely lethal :skull_and_crossbones::smiling_imp:

For reference, comparing it to other rifles: the dispersion for the SVD-30 is 0.15. The Sniper SVT-38 has 0.04 dispersion, while the SVT-38 has 0.20. The Fedorov rifle 1912 has 0.17 dispersion.
This means the SVD-30 has accuracy comparable to a semi-automatic rifle carried by infantry, which is not commensurate with its 7x magnification scope.

I have many premium squads, but the SVD-30 is truly useless.
Its high scope magnification is awkward to use. Furthermore, its accuracy is extremely unbalanced for a sniper rifle, comparable to the semi-auto rifles carried by infantry, and requires immediate improvement. The iron sights are also quite terrible.
Additionally, its unique skill to fire rocket fireworks at enemies is almost completely useless.
