Survivablility

So you know how if you get shot normally you die instantly and just rage. I think they should add a much bigger amount of hit points you can take so bandages are actually more useful or they could at least add body armour so you can take more hits

Body armor is not really a ww2 thing. Russians have some and it provides -10% damage reduction in the game. Same for helmets from what I know.
You can take “vitality” perk for 16 points. It increases your HP by additional 35%. Also you can take “greater chance to get downed” perk for 5x2 (if I remember correctly) so you are less likely to die instantly.

Thanks for the information! I really do think the home page should be easier to navigate and easier to find this information

Absolutely not. Bolt Actions are useful because they 1 shot kill/down. You take that away and we become one step closer to COD where bolties take like 3-4 shots to the chest to kill

The “faster use of medkit” green perk is very helpful in many situations as well, you’re only down for about 2 seconds if you take that one. Switching to another trooper the moment you get shot at, before you actually die, can be a good strategy too - That way you can often return fire as the enemy finishes off your first guy. Get creative!

I agree with other posters that lowering time to kill would disturb the meta too much, it’s intentionally fast, to make slow firing weapons more viable & give you that nice satisfying multikill when landing every shot. Even with the high damage we have now, with most weapons it’s not enough to consistently kill a whole squad before needing to reload.

I don’t think extending the TTK is a good thing, because players can carry up to 9 soldiers, and each of your firefights is not 1V1. If the TTK is too long, you may kill only a few people before being wiped out by the AI.
Since the part damage has been reduced in this game, I obviously feel that the TTK has been extended, which is not fun.
It drives me crazy when I shoot at an enemy and get a bunch of hit feedback instead of a kill.
Besides, this isn’t real, it will be more like games like Battlefield and COD.

I actually have a different opinion about first aid kits
It is of little use now mainly because it consumes too much time and cannot be restored to full health.
The battles in this game are so fast-paced that when you’re on the front line, you barely have time to slowly apply a bandage.
My opinion is to strengthen the medical kit so that its bandage can be restored to full health.
Added a new prop: Stimulant, which can be taken immediately and can continuously restore a certain amount of health.
Compared with the medical kit, it is more suitable for fast-paced battles. Compared with the medical kit, it has two different functions: it takes time to bandage to restore full blood and can treat the downed state; or it can obtain a slightly slower treatment effect immediately and cannot cure the downed state.

The biggest tragedy of the entire shooter genre is that people stopped liking fast time to kill - and as a result most modern shooters devolved into a terrible bullet sponge mess where people are constantly bunny hopping - spam leaning, net code abuse with fast strafings

and because you need for ever to kill someone the meta in those games has turned into people not going for center mass shots but rather spray and pray for lucky headshots.

Those games are pure abominations and don’t represent a firefight what so ever.

If at least those games would claim to be arena / quake or unreal tournament shooters then that would be okay in my book, those games have a right to exist, but claiming to be " tactical " while they actually are pretty much dynasty warriors with guns is pure heresy.

If you add any more HP and survivability to this game it will be ruined.

You already can stack 35% extra HP perk with the 10%+ extra HP from paratroopers and flamers + plus Soviets exclusive 10% damage reduction from the body armor skin.

All that while weapon upgrades only give you 10% - 20% more damage.

I concur.

I would love to see a serious limitation to automatic weapons in game.

Create a slot in each squad for a team leader who can use an SMG/AR - this is currently done well by being able to unlock an assault role per squad - this is a good thing.
The Assault squad should be unique in having the 4 soldiers with SMGs/ARs
Limit vehicle crews to certain SMGs which were actually compact and designed for use by them.

Limit LMGs to historically realistic ORBATs for various nations, this would actually create some interesting MG squad options.

This is for example how historical wargames balance out side assymetry - eg US INF squads in ETO eg Normandy had the Garand as a basic weapon and a couple Thompsons on their leaders and 2+ of BARs as well as larger squads, but they went up against 2 x MG42s a couple of MP40s on the team leaders and Kar 98’s and smaller squads.
The issue with this generic squad rubbish is that it creates problems that didn’t really exist in WWII - with the current shit fight I would suggest they make the following changes in a tree like structure.

separate the squad identity and link it to the map - that includes uniforms and any funky weapons they want present on the map. Allow this to be pre-set by the player for a given Campaign pack of maps - it should easy they’re mucking about with uniforms atm.

Create a historically realistic by the ORBAT generic set of squads in the actual tech tree where you can level up, perk etc… your squad to your heart’s content.
Equally make the weapon upgrade path linked to each squad, so SMGs to the Assault Squad, Rifles to Inf squads, and even det packs or explosives to engineer squads or AT weapons to AT squads to ensure that you have to play a certain squad to get access to that type of effect.

Each player can therefore decides what their preferred ORBAT looks like for a given map and set their preferred presets accordingly.

When you want to play you pick your squads - all unequipped, select the Campaign maps you prefer to get in the rotation of all maps and press go. When you enter a given map your weapons to the level you have unlocked them will be applied to your selected soldiers, no need for made up BS BRs, Tiers or any other shit. Just keep it historical and what was available for a given battle for a given nation. You can offer the leaders of squads the flexibility to use the BS gimmick weapons that you have seeded into the game but once again relative to when during WWII those weapons could have been esoterically found in a specific campaign.
