Hi, I have an idea, that it’d be cool if the sun could reflect from scopes, like in real life. You’d be able to see a glint from distance, which would come from a sniper’s scope.
I came up with this since a famous finnish sniper, named “Simo Häyhä” chose always a weapon with an Iron sight, instead one with a scope, since the sun could expose his position, by reflecting from the scope. (Of course it wouldn’t always reflect. Only when they are in the right position.)
I like this suggestion - But only if it can be implemented in a realistic way (correct angle of the light source), otherwise I think it would feel janky. Many other games tend to make the scope glint whenever it’s used, regardless of angle, and I really hate that system.
This could create some problems for snipers, especially since the glinting ones already have the sun in their eyes (a disadvantage). Might need some tuning!
