Suggestions about squads AI

  1. They should not be able to shoot hidden enemies.
    There are a lot of cases where you are completely hidden behind trees, bushes etc and the enemy squad bots giving up your position and starts shooting you

  2. There are cases where bot turns instantly and shoots and kills in a long distance even with a rifle and even if you are a sniper 200m away. This should stop.

  3. When we hit the X they should stay where we command them to stay. Not around the corner, not outside the building, not going backwards and shooting enemies. They should start running without stop where we command them to go and move to that excact spot.

  4. When we have chosen “formation : close” they HAVE to be one next to other. And following the previous point (3) this means that they have to “pile up” in the spot we command them with the X.

  5. When an enemy comes in a space where we have them pile up, they HAVE to defence and not just stand there staring at him shooting them one by one.

That, and for the love of God, make them aware of their surroundings and not just freaking gallivant right in your line of fire blocking your view. Every God damn time, if I didn’t know they were bots, I would honestly suspect they are doing it on purpose.

Agreed on the first point, they seem to see through bushes a lot, and even though they very rarely hit they give away positions too much.

Point 3 infuriates me, if you press the position inside a building they should go inside the damn building. I believe some sort of system where they go to the closest piece of cover to the positional mark would be nice too so they dont sit 3m away from a piece of cover and take shots to the face.

Point 5 I disagree, bots are there to be your lives, you can’t have them hunting down enemy players - that’s your job. They should shoot back at people within vision (mostly to let players know enemies are there, or punish people who stay in line of sight too long).

Yes for point 5 that’s what I mean. When they have enemies within vision they should defend themselves and shoot. Now they are just staying like idiots waiting to get shot one by one.

After the latest update I have to say that you made AI soliders even worst.
Hitting like crazy the fkn X button to make them move to cover and they keep dieing like idiots because they decide to stay and randomly shoot the flies around since they cannot even get a kill of anything else.
FIX THE DAMN THING.

I want two things from my bots:
Use cover when I tell you to get into cover (had one earlier today where I tell my bots to get into a trench and literally all six of them stand on the lip of the trench and get mowed down while im completely unable to do anything about it)

Stop shooting back at anything that fires even remotely near you, or have the ability to tell them to do so (they’ll even shoot back at tanks for crying out loud, why would I want my guys to slowly sidestrafe while shooting at a tank?)

I have zero problems with the fact that my bots can’t shoot worth a shit or that they get destroyed a lot if I could just tell them to hide in a corner and not get shot. Watching them just slowly sidestrafe across an open field and get gunned down because someone fired a rifle in their general direction is utterly infuriating.

Did they made AI squad members even more stupid?
I am clicking the X button to command them to stay somewhere and they keep coming next to me!

It resets at around 50m range, and sometimes it reset orders just because it feels like it, and sometimes you press the order button and it doesn’t go off at all! (or autoselects the capture point in the vague area you’re pressing so they all rush off through the open to get there).
