Hey folks, how’s going?
I was wandering few stuff: first, why can’t we find the weapon we discard?
I mean, either if I press the discard button, or I pick up a weapon from a dead body, shouldn’t it be normal to be able to find the old one and possibly pick it up?
Actually, why can’t we pick up the dropped machineguns from fixed turrets? I mean, example, D-Day map, an enemy just shot a fixed MG42 in the bunker you’re in, this MG is on the ground, why can’t you pick it up and use it? Doesn’t make sense!
It would be amazing to be able to search for ammo from a dead body, and eventually pick up the grenades that that body still had on, this way, example, I pick up a PPD, normally I would have only a magazine of it’s bullets, but if I was allowed to scavenge for ammo from that body, I could at least get 75% of the ammo remaining on the body, which would be fair enough for anyone I think, just to not make it too op, but still plausible.
There is also a bug related to the picking up of a gun from a dead body: sometimes it just doesn’t “find” the gun, so that no option is available even if I can see the gun with my own eyes, which is hilarious.
Another stuff I saw is that the AI usually prefers to use a bolt action rifle rather than a semi-auto or an automatic gun when available, even at close range, which is a problem: is it possible for the devs to set a range for the AI?
I mean, under a certain range prefer automatic guns and/or pistols, above a certain range prefer a bolt action or semi auto rifle for more precision, or even a machinegun.
Particularly for machineguns, the AI should be able to “place” it like we normally would on any available surface, instead of poorly fire from the shoulder.
AI flame-troopers also never use their flamethrowers, they always stick to their rifle only!
Why can’t assaulters have the other kind of bolt-action and semi-auto rifles too other than their normal SMGs?
I mean, I don’t know if the devs purposely made that troopers with SMGs can equip the base rifle as a back up bolt-action only, and not maybe a semi-auto, I mean, as a nerf to prevent it from becoming op, but to me it is a huge limit on unit/squad customization that could even be removed by letting us equip an assaulter the same rifles a rifleman has available, thus making the game more challenging and interesting to play.
Last point: could it be possible to see in the future the option to let AI man turrets and even use them against the enemy? A sort of automatic turrets with the AI manning them, it would make the use of the AI more interesting and challenging.
See ya next and have a good time
