It supports twitch streamers with views which in turn helps the advertisement of the game, and with additional drops, helps keep your player base keen on spending their time to grind & use their newly acquired items.
Just finished reading up on the Twitch drop post and was hoping we can increase the frequency of these events (least for Enlisted )
New universal twitch orders:
Replace pistol (unique to item) reward orders with universal twitch orders.
‘x’ number of twitch orders can be used to purchase unique items from a pool in the logistics tab.
The pool:
Twitch drop events don’t necessarily mean additional content added to pool per new event.
Includes previous rewards from old twitch drop events and any future rewards
Can be localised to active campaigns / universal
Can include both weaponry / items (Examples: prototypes or unique variants of weapons. Larger backpack (5 slots) & variant of grenades w/ higher splash damage?)
Very rare & valuable reward drops:
Variants of vehicles / skins / soldiers of lv 4 for specific to active campaigns.
‘x’ many days of premium
‘x’ much ingame currency
Listing this pitch as interested in player base feedback & suggestions on types of future twitch rewards should this event become a scheduled / periodic event.
Pistols obtainable from Twitch orders were already unique (model or skin).
OK, why not.
This is a slippery slope. As long as it’s limited to pistols, whose value in game is more as collectibles than as effective weapons, there’s no problem. But as others pointed out, Twitch drops require no other skill than knowing how to leave a video running in the background and click on a button once in a while. They shouldn’t reward with potentially better equipment than battle pass or other events.
On the other hand, I see no issues with said reward weapons being “slightly” unique variants of regular weapons. Say, in example, a “standard” rifle with a unique skin and maxed out stars, or maybe a bayonet.
Heck NO! Better equipment for no effort? (See above).
On the other hand, people starting a new campaign might find it useful to get via drops a normal large backpack/pouch even if they haven’t unlocked the ability to purchase them with bronze yet.
I agree that twitch drops should be a bit more frequent or give more incentive because Enlisted desperately needs more players. (I noticed that queue times at all campaign are getting noticeable longer, which is not a good sign.)
No, pistols obtained are unique and nice addition to the game. It does not break any balance and they are not “must have” while they are pretty useful for both new and veteran players (unless veteran players got lucky with RNG).
On twitch drops, Im personaly most looking forward for new pistol.
Already happened, hopefully it will continue and sometimes repeat old rewards.
We already have universal orders (all bronze and silver orders are in fact, universal).
Hell no, twitch shouldn´t be source of bis or stronger items.
So you want lootboxes as reward? No, WTs crap can go straight to hell. And temporary premium time is already in twitch drops pool. (At least they were last time)
Blockquote On the other hand, people starting a new campaign might find it useful to get via drops a normal large backpack/pouch even if they haven’t unlocked the ability to purchase them with bronze yet.
Generalized idea. After full release, new peeps might find it a bit overwhelming coming into a game that people have already maxed out at the current campaign level, running amuck with top-tier gear.
Even if it was just higher-starred weaponry to give a helping hand. But I agree that the rewards shouldnt be too beneficial, rather they are slight variants with only minimized differences in stats.
It should be much more frequent, if only because of the new players it would bring.
As for the drops themselves I’m with pretty much everyone who commented before me: could be special skins of current weapons or previous rewards, like this sexy bt7. But nothing game breaking that would give unfair advantages.
Could also be completely different items, but very obscure and bizzare weapons for instance, as long as those never perform better than what we already have.
Example: a ww1 trench club. It would be special, but would never be better than the axe, or even the starter knife.
They certainly have to do something. There has been an appalling lack of support for the twitch streamers. They got half of it right with the small benefits given directly to the streamers themselves, but the devs seem to be completely out of touch with the real purpose of twitch which is the viewership.
Devs, you need to appoint someone as your twitch coordinator. If you don’t have such a person, hire them. If you already have such a person, then make sure that is their only job and give them the ability to set up more community events. Drops are a great idea of course. You could do a majority of modest drop events with the occasional marquis event. Beyond that though you need to set up some back channel coordination with your partners and give them a heads up when things are about to happen so they can set up their streaming schedules to support the changes.
As is…just keep in mind it’s not enough to create a great game. You have to have a great marketing campaign to go with it. A great game that nobody is thinking about will ultimately be a failure.
