Reinforcements Received Format has gotten better over time, but it’s not quite there yet. I wish one day that it would be on par, just different with Breakthrough Format.
How would I go about doing this?
Firstly: Each Reinforcements Received event should have all factions represented (as seen in the Rocket Storm Event). Adding to this, instead of scheduled squads unlocked X stage, it should be a return to the event squad orders. These allow for those that are not able to play the full thing, for whatever reason (Ie school, work, vacation, etc.) to get the squad they want most first. This would also reduce the factor of event squads shifting the playerbase and misbalancing the matches within.
Secondly: Reinforcements Received suffers from an issue where those that can’t play everyday struggle to play the content (again school, work, vacation, etc.). Instead of a stage last 48 hours, stages should unlock every 48 hours. This would allow those unable to play every day for 1-2 hours but are able to play 9+ hours on their day off if they want, to “catch up”. How this would work is simple: every 2 days, a new stage unlocks. you can complete any stage unlocked to that point … so on day 9 you would have stage 1 (day 1 and 2), stage 2 (day 3 and 4), stage 3 (day 5 and 6), stage 4 (day 7 and 8), and stage 5 (day 9 and 10) as completable. The last stage would end all stages therein and offer you the option to buy the remaining stages at that point.
Tertiary: 20,000 BP every 2 days (or 10,000 per day) I feel may be too high for the average player. I have two questions:
- What is the median Battle Points earned by all players each game?
- How many games do you feel it should take to obtain the reward?
If these two do not match (within reason, obviously rounding can be used to avoid requirements of 1234.56 points), then possibly adjusting the points to be more in line would make a lot more sense and be fairer to the average player. At current, I feel 20,000 is set too high and is more in line with what top players do per game, rather than median.
In Conclusion: I feel that these three changes would bring the Reinforcements Received event format closer to Breakthrough in terms of player friendliness and favor.
