Since sniper squads do poorly in playing the objectives and therefore they get low points, snipers should get the same amount of (or at least some) points for spotting the target and when it get killed by allies in a radius (f.e. 20 m) from the spot point.

i think they should receive some recon abilities. They’re not effective and won’t be, so they could provide some at least valuable info for the team.

You can remove the scopes off the snipers. Bam, infantry squad if that’s your preference 
Their scoring is comparable to the other minor support squads though, depends how you use ‘em

There is assist for pinging already. However snipers are not designed to be effective at point capture. As such they should not have enough points to be comparable to the chads who play objective and build fortifications.

Can you say that in English?
Player, who kills 3-4 planes, easily takes top 1 on the scoreboard without getting even close to the objective and with 0 rallies being built.
well i agree that bot bombers give too much score, but on other hand other player planes give ok score considering amount of effort you need to kill enemy plane and danger that they represent to infantry and tanks.

You sure clicking 1 button requires much more effort than pushing the objective?
it is not just clicking one button… you need to find it, get on his tail, pray to the netgods for good ping and then shoot the plane. depending on your skill and the skill of enemy pilot, you need anywhere from half minute to 5 minutes to take down the plane. so overall skilled player can earn more with pushing objective than fighting against enemy planes. and not to mention that planes get reduced xp gain… they may be top of the scoreboard, but they have shit xp gain.

Even bots are able to avoid it now.
But still 1750 points for killing all 5.
That’s more than you can get by capping all 5 points.

I’ve got a buddy of mine that all he does is run snipers, but he is VERY effective. I wouldn’t say no to some recon abilities if they are well balanced though.

No need to give incentives to play styles that aren’t net effective and all beneficial to a team, a regular infantry can spot thing easily, why need a sniper?

only time i use snipers is when i need to countersnipe… or when i have some stupid objective like get a 20 kill streak with 1 soldier…
Bot bombers should be different scoring but that’s another topic.

Have you ever been in a dogfight? It’s very difficult if you’re up against a decent player.
