As the title said, I think that adding the J5N1 to BR IV Japan, would be a good upgrade or sidegrate to the Ki-83, I know that they have basically the same ammunition in that it’s 2x 20mm & 2x 30mm cannons on both, but IRL the J5N had the capability of carrying 1x 250kg bomb on its centerline, although not in WT for some reason, thus making it a worthy alternative, while the Ki-83 would be a little bit faster and having more rpm on the 20mm cannons should keep both options balanced.
As always, please let me know what you think about this idea and thank you for reading

I think that Ki 83 was introduced precisely because the Japanese always had only one aircraft in the air that could engage in full-fledged air combat. The other factions have attack aircraft that, while they may not perform the role of a fighter as well as a fighter jet, still manage to do so to some extent. However, the Japanese did not have such an aircraft. All of their fighters and attack aircraft, including the Kikka (and the recently added fighter jet in the 3rd slot), are clearly divided based on their respective roles.
So Ki 83 is a good choice for the second aircraft slot for the Japanese, as all the aircraft that came before it were completely helpless against enemy aircraft, and it often happens that the fighter pilot [Madsen] ignores enemy aircraft. At such moments, it is desirable to have another aircraft that can shoot down enemy aircraft.
